It could be important to swap blood ritual out for swampland attunement, if you have low paragon you should use that and roll life per kill as secondary stats (chest, pants and / or belt)
If you're lucky to have bracers or wep to roll with Life per hit you should ditch blood ritual on all matters.
Blood Ritual is one of the best damage mitigations we got. Ditching Blood Ritual is by far the worst movement. Blood Ritual, eventhough not described on the passive, grants 20% cost reduction for the Captain Crimson set.
Spirit Vessel is the passive of choice to ditch for Swampland Attunement (yeah, Spirit Vessel).
Spirit Barrage - The Spirit is Willing + Blood Ritual passive works as kind of usually picked mana regeneration passives.
Blood Ritual also grants additional 20% damage mitigation.
(In comparison to CDR, the gain here works in total eventhough appearing diminishing return. Example: 1000 Damage, 50% cost reduction already available (unrealistic for this build but just for showing numbers). => 50% reduced damage taken = 500 damage.
Another 20% cost reduction by Blood Ritual boosts the 50% to 60%. => 60% mitigation = 400 damage. 400/500 = 0.8 -> 20% less taken)
Blood Ritual and Swampland Attunement will boost the toughness on this build by a lot, allowing to survive most things (ofc, we still can't facetank multiple arcane lasers and such - especially cause Swampland Attunement does not increase lightning & arcane/holy resistance).
Therefore, Spirit Vessel is no longer needed. Spirit Vessel in fact only is really worth it due to the fact of not being able to survive many instantaneous damage sources, resulting in unsuspected deaths.
Since the combination of Blood Ritual & Swampland Attunement grants a lot of further flat damage mitigation, this does no longer occur which is why Spirit Vessel should be actually ditched for Swampland Attunement.
On top of that, with enough Paragon Vitality, the 5% from Voodoo & the 1% from Blood Ritual really start to shine. (Did GR131 solo in 12:51 @ ~P1600ish with that build and playing it like this for 2 or 3 weeks now - without Spirit Vessel like described)
