All items other than shoulders required. NO EXCEPTIONS.
IAS required without using Stretch Time:
7% + 50% Pet speed Tasker and Theo
7% Tal Rasha's Relentless Pursuit
7% Lacuni Prowlers or Steady Strikers
7% Focus
7% Restraint
This is the only way to reach the 4.032+ Pet APS breakpoint with the help of the crusader's Laws of Valor and the witch doctor's Slam Dance.
With Stretch Time, IAS is a little more flexible, but you'll have to do the math.
It would be preferable to get the IAS on gear so you can drop Stretch Time for something like Time Warp that will aid the other DPS character, i.e. demon hunter. Unless their BP needs assistance, of course.
Gameplay involves repeated cycling through the elemental rotations.
- 5x Electrocute (1x Tal, 1x F/R)
- Hydra (2x Tal, 1x F/R)
- Blizzard (3x Tal, 2x F/R)
- 5x Electrocute (3x Tal, 2x F/R, initial F/R stack refreshed)
- Hydra (3x Tal, 2x F/R)
- 5x Electrocute (3x Tal, 2x F/R, initial F/R stack refreshed)
- Star Pact (4x Tal, 2x F/R, second F/R stack refreshed)
- 5x Electrocute + up to full AP (4x Tal, 2x F/R, initial F/R stack refreshed)
- Star Pact (4x Tal, 2x F/R, second F/R stack refreshed)
- 5x Electrocute + up to ~75% AP (4x Tal, 2x F/R, initial F/R stack refreshed)
- Star Pact (4x Tal, 2x F/R, second F/R stack refreshed) impact will be post-4 stack expiration
- Electrocute transitioning to next cycle (1x Tal, 2x F/R, initial F/R stack refreshed) you do this while the previous Star Pact has yet to land
- Hydra (2x Tal, 2x F/R)
- Blizzard (3x Tal, 2x F/R, second F/R stack refreshed)
- Continue/repeat
Place all your trust in the WD and crusader defending you. Your priority is DPS first and foremost.
Frozen Solid doubles as an emergency CC ability for when both the WD and sader aren't able to hold something down. This shouldn't be a common occurrence, but if it does come up (and sometimes it will), you can be the difference maker in keeping the team alive and triggering a team wipe.

Everything goes into intelligence if movement speed is capped on gear (e.g. 12% from Lacuni Prowlers and Nilfur's Boast). Otherwise reach 25% MS and dump all other points into intelligence.

Wouldn't spending paragon points for more AP be more beneficial for star pact?

Fire element, Hydras are doing most of damage, meteor- star pact's are great burst that's all.

A few questions from someone who can't math:
1) exactly why is 4.032+ the Pet APS breakpoint you wanna reach?
2) if you use star pact right before the 4 stacks of Tal Rasha run out, will it still damage as if it were on 4 stacks?
3) is it worth rolling IAS on your rings instead of intelligence?

1. Hydras lay fire down faster which each fire stacks, so more fires on ground more dps,
2. Dunno need to test, but I don't think it will, don't think it gets snapshotted, it will only benefit when it lands not used prior to losing stacks.
3. Yes ideal rolls on rings is socket>ias>chd>cc.
i just used a hydra breakpoint calculator which i found and it tells me that i still need like 2 attack speed even when i have both rings, chest, gloves and bracers all to 7% like you said and my taskers have 50% as well as the slow time and BBV with sader law.
What about 7% ias on weapon?
is it preferable to have an ancient tal source with hydra damage form the earlier patch in general?
what if the old source has vita that can't be rolled off...is it then better to use a new tal source with meteor damage but instead of the vita there is APOC and a rollable stat, for example elite damage?
what if I'm not with a WD or a sader is it still basically the same gameplay ??
