GEAR


-Helmet: CARNEVIL


5 Fetishes shoot a very powerful poison dart. Note the dart these 5 fetishes shoot are poison damage, while the melee fetishes are physical.


-Shoulders: Pauldrons of the Skeleton King


Pauldrons of the Skeleton king for a second life at times, this isn't as needed with how tanky the LoN version of Carnevil is, but it's still very nice.


Alternative Option: Corruption


These shoulders are craftable and roll with 7 pick up radius standard.


-Amulet: Hellfire Amulet


Confidence Ritual will be your 5th passive on the hellfire amulet.


Alternative Option: Ess of Johan


Ess of Johan could out perform a Hellfire Amulet with how good Area Damage is in this patch. The tighter you group mobs, the more benefit you get from your area damage.


-Chest: Aquila Cuirass


50% damage reduction while above 90% primary resource, you really don't spend mana in this build and even when you do, you get it back quickly with Spined Dart, which means you have this damage reduction pretty much always.


-Bracers: Lakumbra's Ornament


6% damage reduction per stack of Soul Harvest.


-Gloves: Tasker and Theo's


50% more attack speed for your fetishes, you have 18 fetishes attacking in melee range so, no other gloves can compete for damage.


-Belt: The Witching Hour


7% more attack speed to reach a higher breakpoint with Carnevil, along with 50% more crit damage.


Alternative Options: String of Ears/Belt of Transcendence


String of Ears is an option if you decide you need more toughness.


Belt of Transcendence is only possible if you run Grave Injustice/Piranhado, I really would not recommend it, but it is an option if you want to open up another passive slot.


-Pants: Depth Diggers


We're running the poison dart that restores mana, so your own characters Poison Dart will benefit from this multiplier.


Alternative Options: Swampland Waders


Swampland Waders give 20% poison elemental damage, but this only affects the 5 fetishes shooting poison darts. It also stacks additively with the pet damage bonus from Mask of Jeram.


-Boots: Ice Climbers


Immunity to Freeze and Immobilize effects and damage reduction from cold make these the best solo boots imo.


Alternative Options: Illusory Boots


Illusory Boots are more than likely the best for group play, so you don't get body blocked while your group is looking for a place to set up and start DPS'ing.


-Rings: Legacy of Nightmares set(Litany of the Undaunted/The Wailing Host)


100% damage + 4% damage reduction per ancient item. It's more important that EVERY item is ancient than for the items to be well rolled.


-Weapon: The Dagger of Darts


This allows your darts to pierce, giving the build AoE clear. If you have an ancient Starmetal Kukri but you dont have an ancient DoD yet, run the SMK on your character and Cube the DoD.


-Offhand: Henri's Perquisition


This allows you to run through rifts without getting killed, so you can pick your spots and create density. I think this is the best off hand for solo play.


Alternative Options: Zunimassa String of Skulls/Thing of the Deep


Zunimassa String of Skulls is probably your best bet for group play because it rolls with 25% Fetish Army damage, it's your best damage option


Thing of the Deep is great if you decide to run Carnevil in Torment 10.


Kanai's Cube


Weapon: STARMETAL KUKRI


Permanent Slam Dance gives you and your pets damage and allows you to get higher breakpoints with Poison Dart.


Armor: Mask of Jeram


100% more pet damage is pretty self explanatory. You'll always give 100% damage with Jeram in the cube, so its preferable to cube Jeram over Carnevil.


Jewelry: Convention of Elements


You'll absolutely melt everything when this rotates to poison, also double dipping with this when it rotates to physical.


Legendary Gems


Bane of the Stricken


This is mostly for the Rift Guardian but you'll also get a lot of benefit against single target champions.


Bane of the Trapped


This build does not have a ton of ways to proc this, so you'll want to be within 15 yards as much as possible to proc it, also Languish will proc it with the slow.


Simplicity Strength


This buffs your own dart as well as the 5 fetishes shooting darts, you also get the majority of your healing and sustain from this gem.
