Build Guide
Overview
This build is aimed at pushing solo with the Shadow's Mantle set and the new reworked Holy Point Shot (Impale now throws two additional knives). It has a very distinct new playstyle and is very consistent with little fishing involved, and can push into the high 90s with endgame setups, so it is roughly 2-3 tiers behind the current top DH builds.
Itemization
There's not a lot of room for variation here. Full Shadow's set, Karlei's Point, Holy Point, Chain of Shadows, Endless Walk are required, equip Convention or Elusive Ring and cube the other ring, preferably equip Strongarm Bracers, as they are the only really useful pair you can get for that slot. With Gogok up you will need CDR on one item (preferably shoulders). Supplement that with attack speed on gloves and perhaps rings, stack elemental damage + chc + chd where possible. Try to get Impale damage on boots, helm and quiver.

Playstyle
This is an elite hunter build, just try to vault through the rift until you find a pack, then focus on it at all costs. Killing trash without elites around will almost always be worse than just looking for the next pack, so try to stand on top of your main target to make sure you hit it with all three knives, and let the area damage kill some trash. Make sure you keep up your Elusive Ring with Vault or Shadow Power and try to time your vaults a little to apply the Strongarm buff right before your lightning CoE. Generally, you are pretty tanky and can fight almost any elite, but don't hesitate to just skip a very terrible pack that would take too long to kill.
Variations
It's possible to play Focus + Restraint setups and / or Lord Greenstone setups as well, but they will very likely be a couple tiers worse. The only big variation here would be changing Awareness to Leech once you have grown comfortable with the playstyle, that will let you play a little bit more aggressively because you have better sustain. For a little bit more damage, you can equip a Unity instead of Elusive ring.

Just whant to say picking the impale rune. You shod just take the one ho you have best gear for. Since non off them work in shadow 6 pice. And the extra dmg from vengance is 0.2% running ligtning. You dont get more hatred from riccochet.
thank you for this. !
why AD on shoulders? makes no sense to me
What MerfordD3 said is correct, especially in solo with Aquila you need to make sure that you are at full hatred (nearly) all the time. In groups, going for the element where you have the best gear is definitely possible.
The other stats (Allres / Life%) you could get there don't help you very much. AD is not the best value in a Shadow's build, but definitely helps a bit to kill some trash or a big pack of blues on the way.
I'm very surprised to hear you say all-res/% life don't help that much. I'm wearing all diamonds and have put a bunch of paragons into vit just to make sure I am as tanky as possible. Having said that, I think I'm starting to hit the point where I'm dps limited, so maybe some extra AD might help..
how are we procing Numbing traps? I think it has to be those specific skills that slow to get the proc. right?
Change from Ricochet to Overpenetrate, will work wonders for you. And to clarify, yes it might give back more Hatred at low end to use Ricochet, but top end, you never run out of Hatred past GR 65/70+. Ricochet only allows 9 targets to be dealt with at a time with a body count of 30+ mobs in GR65+ you need more dmg.
Ricochet for me sitting shy of 1mil dmg does only about 400-900mil on the secondary targets, where as Overpenetrate does 5-9billion to the secondary targets.. Changing from (with only 700k dmg at the time) Richochet to Overpenetrate allowed me to clear my GR70 solo no problems, as before that i could not at all catch the timer, even playing the build as you should because too many targets get in the way of main target and you dont have enough secondary dmg to deal with it.
Overall Ricochet is great pre GR65 (though you can just change out Dark Heart for Seethe in low GR counts) but after that GR65+ Overpenetrate is better especially dealing with hitting your main targets when they are surrounded by 30+ mobs (9 targets versus potentially all the targets)
