This is a a Season 12 - End of the season Solo Ladder push necromancer build.
Cool Down reduction is important. You want max CDR on every slot that can have CDR. You're not killing anything until your cooldowns are up.
Build is pretty straight forward - Smash Devour (like every other necro spec), Curse everything on the screen that you can, ESP your kill target while waiting for CD's. Cursing everything keeps them slow, and lets you dodge enemies easier. When CD's are up - Make sure kill target is cursed, make sure you're going to get a FULL Land of the Dead stun in your convention COLD element. I pop mine near the start of Poison and it lines up perfectly. Pop Sim first so you're not wasting LotD without Sim Damage., then Land of the dead, Hold Corpse Lance on the kill target (elite). Bloodrush into Oculus Circles that spawn from your follower. You should be killing the elites in one CD cycle, if it's taking two or three Cool Down Cycles every pack, your dps isn't high enough for that rift, or you need to get the mechanics down better.
Speaking of Follower. Equip him with:
Freeze of Deflection
Bul-Kathos's Wedding Band
Enchanting Favor (can't die)
Overwhelming Desire (optional neck)
When Elite dies and CD's aren't up, search the rift for the next pack. If you need to two cycle the elite, while waiting for CD's curse everything you can to take advantage of the borrowed time rune and get CD's faster, also lets you look for pylons.
If you die, stay dead until CD's are almost up. Don't keep smashing your face into mobs with no CD's. If you die, time your rezzes with your ring. usually have to rez slightly early so that your cold cycle lines up with CD's. Don't add the time to your timer, wait for the rez until your CDs are almost up.
Key Abilities / Skill parrings:
Decrepify - Borrowed time: Cursing things removes skill CDs. Curse everything you can between CD sets. Cursing things gives you up to 200% more damage to cursed enemies thanks to Trag'Ouls Corroded Fang. Make sure you curse your kill target (elite).
Land of the Dead - Frozen Lands - Krysbin's Ring -Decrepify increases damage by 100% if they are slowed by it. 300% if they are stunned by Frozen Lands + Zei's Stone of Vengence + Oculus Circles + Convention of elements when it goes Cold. That's where your burst window is.
Reilena's Shadowhook + Sim - Every point of Maximum essence increases damage by .5%, so Sim doubles essence, = 50% more damge. + essence on every piece of gear you can get it on.
Bloodrush molting - 2pc Pest set = Each enemy you hit with Corpse lance reduces damage taken by 2% to a max of 50% for 15 sec. Blood Rush on CD to create corpses and devore them firing a corpse lance which keeps your defensive stacks maxxed out all the time. Always teleport. (while spamming devour)
Talents are straight forward self explanatory.
Travelers Pledge & Compass Rose = damage reduction while running around trying to stay alive between CDs, and increased damage while standing still killing things with CD's.
Try to line your Convention and Travelers Pledge up with your big cd's so when you're in the Cold phase on TP/CR your stacks are near max or high as possible.
