Build Guide
This is the Tal Rashas Ladder push build - Currently Tal Rashas is the top wizzard build in season 13, and will probably stay in the top rankings because of how powerful the set it.
This build focuses on two major things. Meteor damage from your free etched sigil meteors, and the amazingly OP shields you get from magic weapon deflection while channeling.
Read over your Tal Rasha's set bonuses so you have a good understanding of how they work, but I will clarify the 6 piece bonus. Once you have 4 stacks of Tal's buff from casting 4 different elements you only need to cycle two elements to keep your tal's buff going. In this case channeling ray of frost and tapping arcane torrent to keep the stacks refreshed.
It's a good idea to get in the habit of cycling through all your elements every 8 seconds to keep your 4pc toughness rolling though. There is no visual marker for this extra toughness, but if you're doing max damage (aka casting meteors as well once per convention element cycle and 2 on fire) you should be just fine.
Death Wish, Etched Sigil, and Mantle of channeling all buff the damage you do while channeling so make sure you're using ray of frost or arcane torrent when your meteors come crashing down. Try to group up trash as best you can.
I explain the build and equipment in detail in the video below, as well as do live commentary while pushing what would be a top 300 LB clear at the time. My current rank with this build is top 40.
Season 12, Rank #11 solo wizard 115 clear. Name: Canii
You can look it up by pressing Shift + L in game, go to wizard, season 12.

Soooo... "WAY". Not everyone is going to get 115+ Some people are limited by skill caps, drop caps, or bad rift levels.
The only reason for your comment is to try and discredit the build. I said it's 115 capable, that doesn't mean anyone who puts this set of gear on will get 115. Two weeks in season 13 nobody is getting 115, but with the right Grift, right gear, and paragon its definitely capable. Quit trying to be an internet troll, watch the video, like the build, or dislike the build then move on.
When / if you have something constructive to add to the conversation of the build I'll be here ready to discuss, but until then peace.
If you're playing in a group, and nobody has unity on, you can keep it if you have a god roll unity, if not I use stone of jordan
Been using this build for 2 days now, will start my GR pushes soon!
Good luck man, let me know how it goes!
After Struggling for a while to find a solid solo build that i don't instant die. with this build with semi decent gear i easily got up to GR90. i still have alot of gem levels and better rolls on gear i should be able to push a couple more levels out of this. https://www.d3planner.com/394372348 my current gear that i breezed threw a 90
Made it to 78 last night. Gotta grind to get better gear and more para.
Cleared a GR80 with only 780 para and crap gear.
Impressive, thanks!
You thought his first comment was adding to the discussion? The discussion happened because I called him a troll and he back peddled his statements. "115+ with this build? No way." adds so much value.
If you spend hours making a build, then hours making a video to explain the build and someone adds a garbage comment I think you have the right to call out their BS.
If he wanted to add to the conversation or build, that's not the way to go about it. His point was to discredit the build, not add to the conversation.
I'm just a passerby here, but even I could see that the only reason you posted here is to troll. You're right, your point was not to discredit 'the build', but instead you're here strictly to discredit the OP, did I get that right? The one and only reason you come here and post is to tell OP that he's lying. That's textbook trolling right there.
If you just examined the US Wizard leaderboard (like you said you did), you'll find that Grendel, rank 5 at 111 clear, (with only ~1400 paragon at clear time) is using this exact build, with the only exception one passive. Look this up in game to see his actual clearing gear, as the web is showing his speed gear at the time I'm writing this post.
However, just in case you're really not trolling, that you really only posted because you're totally confused to have tried this build with 2k+ paragon in non-season with gear perfect for this build, and you couldn't get past 106, maybe you're simply just not as skilled as you think you are? Because clearly, there are others who could do it without a problem with only ~1400 paragon, only a month into a season.
Thanks for the amazing build P. Last night, I was very lucky and upgraded a rare sword into a Primal Deathwish. This is my first and only primal ever. The build is so strong. I only have 648 para and am challenging myself in GR's I never imagined I would ever do. However, I am missing the Halo and the Blood bracer. Both my follower and I have Oculus rings so I have almost 100% up time of the 80% damage buff throughout my runs. I just walk from ring to ring as they spawn. Visually, the build is stunning with all the meteors blowing everything up. I was wondering if you or one of the other community members could give me recommendation to turn this into a DB speedfarm build? I believe the build has some great elements that would allow me to do this, but I wouldn't know where to start. An suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
thank you for this amazing build. It is working like a charm
Glad you liked it!
Let me first start out by being hypocritical to prove a point but isn't it ironic to protest trolling with white knighting? I'm not taking sides or trying to attack anyone. Even if anybody was misinformed or not, if anybody doesn't like a particular part of a build then you can change it. Everybody has their right to personal preference/play style. Announcing that preference shouldn't be seen as criticism per se, just another option towards "diversity". As for not completing said rank because of this or that, There's so many reasons other than operator error to increase the chances of completion or not ie map, mobs, paragon, build experience, changes between said builds etc. You can't really say one or the other has drastic differences having mirrored gear/stats on top of previous mentioned differences between grift levels. There's always going to be mixed results using rng system whether everybody has exact skills etc or not. Since no two runs are the same for anyone, none of the build changes are ever going to proven better than the other without multiple factors. Even most of the factors are small but end up decent in conjunction together with the exception of ridiculous paragon difference. Overall there's options at least. Just to clarify, difference of opinion doesn't equal oppression. That's just my opinion and I don't expect everyone to agree but I won't ridicule because of it. Just stay open minded.
