I'm tired of them dictating what is "fun" and what isn't "fun."
If I see another interview where a developers use the word "fun," I'm going to explode.
Off topic, but whenever Jay Wilson reminds me of whats fun and whats not, i always think of Grass Valley Greg - (should start @ 2:43) If not fast forward to it.

... let me know when you find a games company who designs by democracy. It'd be a fascinating experiment. Until then, "they" will be "dictating what is fun" in every other games company in existance.
Personally, I hate the current MF system. I have an nice, powerful set of gear including some damn nice pieces I found all by myself... I never get to use it because it'd mean I get than much fewer rare drops. Instead I spend 99% of my time wearing my MF gimp suit. Paragon levels aren't the best solution, but they're a good one.
Or maybe you're complaining about those dictators removing Invulnerable Minions?
Hard to tell. Your objections weren't quite specific enough.
MF cap at 300 right now? Yeah right, how about you actually get a clue of your own game?
Ladder not fun? Please stop telling us what's fun.
Inferno still dropping ilvl 51 items. Why? Because Jay Wilson says it's fun. Please give me a break.
He did not say ladder was not fun, he said a ladder based off levels. He wants some form of a ladder tho according to the interview.
and the ilvl thing was Andrew Chambers
(I really tried to add the names, but my biggest fear happened, some of the recording on a few questions just sounded bad, and could not tell the voices on those questions..so had to scratch that =( )

Watching a handful of nutters that no-one else even has a chance of competing with racing to the top of a paragon-level ladder is fun for you? I'd have to see a vote before I could believe you weren't in a very small minority.
Unless you're seriously suggesting that they were saying that ladders in general were a bad idea? You're not, are you? Because that would be very embarrassing.
Its 9:41 CST and ive yet to log into the game. I was going to have one last VQ Bear spam hurrah before 1.04 but the MF cap has taken all the wind out of my sails. No matter if i wont be affected for 20 ish levels or whatever, its killing any long term hopes i had. Its going to take quite a bit to distract me from that fact and with only an arena style PvP coming i really cant see myself having a long love affair with this game, akin to D2. So bummed still...

Boo...was kind of hoping you would have deleted it by now.
Regarding the interview...well, I can switch to 374% MF, so yeah, 300 wasn't the limit. I'll form my opinion after the patch hits and I see what kind of results runs are producing before I go on any kind of rant. I can see Jay's point with the ladder, it is a niche thing, and have confidence that the team will come up with some kind of seasonal game mode that is more interesting and fun for a bigger range of people. That will benefit everyone, as more competition breeds greater rewards and epeen size (I read that somewhere). Really excited about the patch tomorrow and trying out the game after all the changes, and thanks for taking the time to answer a few questions. Random thing I noticed: After it was announced that you could use +xp items and gems to gain Paragon levels the price of a Radiant Star ruby skyrocketed from 14 to 22 million! Damn
A question not adjusted, the monster damage and health adjustments, are they being done for the Whirmsyshire mobs as well because "DAMN"! tay hoit, tay weally Hoit Jay!! Jay(Charlie) bit may!

If you guys can hit over 300 after NV is irrelevant, he's claiming 300% is the cap pre NV, and he didn't say that it was cap but that it couldn't be reached right now.
I've seen some charts made that show with gear you can't get any higher than 256% pre-NV, but not confirmed by myself. But here is the chart
Looks like you're missing topaz in the helmet: Radiant Star Topaz would add another 31%, giving 287% for a weapon+shield user, which matches what I always heard was the maximum.
If anyone actually does have 318%, without NV, without follower (as Wransik claims in post #4), I'd like to see a profile link.

http://eu.battle.net...4/hero/15888952 there you go, and that's with a crappy gem. No set rings as well which would boost to a total of 330 which is the absolute max before NV and without follower.
Some people are already discussing Topazes above, but the move away from MF on gear in the future has me wondering what Topaz will do in helms...
Also, I have to say I'm not crazy about the Paragon Levels portrait graphics thing. Isn't this the exact kind of thing they told us we'd be getting for our banner? Why invent some new portrait thing that lots of people are never going to see (most people are still playing single-player) instead of giving us something cool to customize our banners (which we see every time we log in)? I realize it's a small matter, but I wonder if they just forgot about banners...?
"There was talk, back during the Reddit AMA, about bosses dropping rares on the first kill past normal difficulty. Did this make it into 1.0.4?"
"That did not make it into 1.0.4, but it is still something we want to add to the game."
I could swear patch notes said this change was made. Did Jay Wilson misspeak or am I having a senior moment?

You know I'm remembering something really similar being said but I can't remember what either. I remember seeing it in the patch shortly after AMAA and thought at first it was that change but it was just worded really similar.
You're not completely off your rocker. It's not in the game but I remember thinking for a moment it was in some patch notes too.

You can get over 300 MF (before NV) if you use a max MF gem, the right legendaries, some set bonuses, plus a fully MF geared follower.
To that end, a bonus of 3.5MF per paragon level would have made more sense, but maybe they just decided that 300% was a nice round number. /shrug.
