I agree. It's not like Blizzard doesn't have top notch expertise and resources in this area (i.e. global launches with millions of users playing WoW & Starcraft).
No excuse in my opinion. Hell the beta lasted over half a year. They had plenty of time to do a mega stress test.
They might have horrible product launches, but they make amazing games. I will overlook server issues that everyone should have already known would have happened anyways at launch by the fact that they put out amazing games.

How do you know it's a great game if you can't logon?

Cause you can log on, you just have to be a little lucky. Some people have beaten Normal Nightmare and Hell.

Not even Death will save you from Diablo Bunny's Cuteness!
Ahahahaha
Were you around for WoWs first expansion? Or Diablo 2 for that matter?
People couldn't reliably play D2 for a week. (online obviously)
I was around for D2 absolutely. Apples and oranges. D2 was worst, however that was 12 freaking years ago! Most players were on 56Kbps dial ups back then. And you had the option to play OFFLINE!
I lot has changed. Blizz is now part of a $5 billion dollar corporation. D3 was the top selling pre-ordered PC game on Amazon...they knew it was going to be a big surge on launch day. No excuses IMO.
You have a sample size of TWO, and one of them was an expansion, the other was a RTS. I don't..really think you can compare them.
I haven't noticed a huge hit in time played. They seem to be fixing these quickly, (within 2 hours). Overall I'm pretty happy with it. Compare this to some of the other games I've played on launch day - I remember one game went into a 40 hour maintenence on day 1, lol.

i like how you came here and made an account, then made ONE whole post about how bad this launch has been. This launch has been pretty smooth given the fact that there are WAY less servers than WoW and WAY more people anticipating it than any recent WoW expansion. Just find something productive to do because making the 1 billionth+ post about the issues really isn't making an impact.
Worst Blizzard product launch?

...WoW has had its moments, but D3 is definitely a strong competitor.

No.

D3 is being worse then SC2 and Cata, that's fair to say, but worst one ever? not even close.

That's why he prefaced it with the word "recent".
