Well, as we know, it's also illegal to dance in a public place, because somebody, somewhere, might not like that you are slow dancing with your girlfriend/boyfriend. It's obviously also illegal to FOLLOW THE CONSTITUTION!!!

This government is going to shit. <_<
Anon should probably drop the case for slow-dancing and focus on something else. =p
It amuses me that someone in a government building up there toiled away for hours just to find a 19th century law that justified the arrests. Back in the day when we got arrested and asked why they'd just say "shut up."
So what was the reason for arresting the three media guys? Is there an ancient NY law that says filming police officers will steal their souls so its illegal?

I think that falls under the "shut up I have a badge," clause.

Nah, it falls under the "shut up, I have a gun" clause.

Not really. If they shot someone there would be hell to pay. Beating someone is perfectly legitimate NYPD arrest tactics.
Yeah but if you don't take your beating and try to defend yourself, you get shot. You could have had a spork, or a knife, or a shotgun, or a missile for all they know.

That would mean passing up a good chance to tase, bear-mace, or otherwise club you.

Man that IS a very tough choice...
Nowadays you may even be lucky enough to have those sound cannons used on you.
The "Shut up, I have a gun" clause only means that you get to threaten them with the gun, and if you act "suspicious" they get to shoot you. After all, like Daemaro said, you might have a M16A2 assault rifle in your pocket for all they know! They just protected themselves!
Apparently, there is supposed to be a subgroup in Wal $treet that are going to march on the Police Station.
Considering the sheer number of protesters that were arrested, I support this idea. Though, the subgroup will probably be arrested. You know, for following the Constitution. (You know that is illegal per the Patriot Act.)
Just saw on the local news at least 50 people were arrested today. The numbers there are growing. Lots of people have joined in and are protesting with picket signs and all.
WTF was this for?.. See this is why I hate videos they always edit out what they were doing. I wanna know did these girls do something? Did they break a law? Did they resist arrest? Why would you mace a girl after penning her in? Is it necessary?

Not even Death will save you from Diablo Bunny's Cuteness!
If you want a bit of sobering wake up watch what this day trader has to say on BBC (I'll guarantee he'll never get invited on American TV). He just leaves everyone in the television studio speechless and aghast. No one should be shocked by what is going to happen in the coming year.

I am personally still pissed about it though.
(Just an fyi, I am in no way, shape, or form connected to Anonymous. I just like what they do. )

Civil unrest, best unrest.
