We have the triple play thing from Verizon so I don't know exactly what we pay for the internet. I just did the test on the same site as yours this is what I got http://www.speedtest.net/result/1495513253.png
I think 20 down/ 6 up is the minimum you'd want as a single person using the internet.
DSL in most areas tops out at around 12, so I think you are pretty much stuck with the cable companies (unless there is FiOS in your area).
Satellite internet is still lagging for game performance, but that might be changing in the near future.
Why do you need more than 12Mb? You can game perfectly fine on a 1Mb as long as your ping is low.... You can stream full 1080p on 12Mb and 12Mb is not horribly overpriced.
Unless you are a pirate (and if you are fuck you), you shouldn't ever require more than 12Mb.
We have the worst internet in the world. I'm not kidding, there were studies. They've begun to improve it, and the plan is actually in action (my provider didn't upgrade yet), which consists of 4 times the speed, 5 times the download cap (which is currently 4G), for a lesser monthly fee. I currently pay 50$ for this piece of shit mockery.

You shouldn't need more than 1.5Mb with normal usage. Want to stream movies? 7Mb is plenty for 1080p. Anything above that is just a bonus.
I'm liking some of the prices you guys pay. We have 12Mb for $70 here...dsl. If we were a newer customer we could get it cheaper, but I guess that's what us loyal longtime customers get. There's only two companies in town, neither of which is that great. The cable company is cheaper and faster, but they have a huge amount of down-times.
I pay 19.99$ right for a year then 50$ a month for a year after that for these speeds.

Is it worth it? or a good deal?

I have a pretty bad connection for Bulgaria.

You can see where it says "faster than 79%".
I pay $12. Can double the speed for $22. Also I'm on a non-binding contract. No limits, using router, etc.
Another ISP around here is offering optic cable connections that go up to 100Mbps for $30. ^^
edit: Also we're third in the world on inet speeds.

Ha. Bagstone.
Worth it yes, good deal? Hmm. probably not.
A game like diablo doesn't need THAT much download speed.
A 5 MB download should be more than enough, and 1 MB upload.
But, it's always nice to be able to download some movies n such :>
