I'll add a bunch of you guys on this thread, since only 2 of my friends in real life bought the game thus far... <_< or add me. I'm only gonna get to play in a couple of days and I might forget!
But I do prefer soloing aswell, more freedom, especially in the beginning of the game (lv 1-15) where you unlock a bunch of new skills and runes after each level up; I need my time to think and pick the best ones.
I'm mostly soloing so far. With a follower since I started nightmare. It's been great so far. I did play a game with some random joins at one point, which was pretty fun and made me feel relatively skilled, and d one game with a friend from here, who made me feel incompetent. I'll probably keep soloing for a bit longer until I've settled on a build and practiced a bit more.
If anyone wants to add me though, feel free!
What if I add you and then just join your game... what will you do then!? Hmm?
Edit: On another note.. I've been trying to get the Liquid Rainbow to drop for a good while now... at this rate I'll have the 100k for Wirt's Bell easy. Since I still have to get the Gibbering Gemstone as well..
Edit 2: Ha ha speak of the devil. Finally got it to drop.
@FB I've still not found any Legendaries! But then you've probably killed lots more stuff than me. LOL!
@Tralari I'm about half through Act 3 Nightmare I think. But they are nerfing smokescreen, so now I have to play better and can't do cheesy stuff anymore. As for joining my games... I disabled Quick join! I hope no one thinks I am anti-social. I'd love to see pretty much anyone from URT in one of my games. I just had a friend who kept asking if I wanted stuff twice a day and dropping by with gear even when I said no, or killing stuff I wanted to be able to manage on my own. He's a sweet guy, but I couldn't handle it anymore so I just locked him out. I can turn it back on eventually.
@Jaundice I aggree completely on soloing. It's good being able to take your time and explore the skills and the locations and stuff. Plus, with a bad ping, solo games seem to run smoother. At home during peek times, I have a 400 ms ping some days. I think some people in Europe have faster routing to the US server than I do. LOL!
Ugh level 59 and still getting slapped around in hell act 2 and 3. I wanna ding 60 before I go looking around the AH for any more gear, but leveling in these acts is so slow.

Is there any somewhat easy quest you can repeat over and over that gives decent exp?

Playing Diablo since 97. I know nothing and having nothing good to say, I be a troll.
I checked around, didn't notice any. They also just nerfed monks so now I don't even know if I want to bother trying to get to 60 and enter inferno only to be killed before I can reach Tristram.

Azmodan runs on nightmare gives you 40k xp. Then finish the last quest of the act (just talk to npcs) and get another 40k. Repeat.
Azmodan on hell gives decent xp as well, around 200k with the process I mentioned above.

Well at least get to 60 and then roll another class
This is the one thing that I haven't understood in this release everyone is getting so bent out of shape because their first character... Every Diablo game I played, I maxed every character, why can't we roll something else till more balancing happens? Personally I expect to get raped in Inferno and I'll roll a different character for a change of pace.
Personally I don't know much about the Monk "exploit" but I don't think it should be deserved considering the range > melee at the moment. I agree with smokescreen though and they are nerfing force armor.
They need to adjust inferno? I'm not there yet, but people where hoping for hard and we got it (one shotted all the time/kiting tactics are lame though). I'm not sure how you could balance the issue without making it too easy, not many people were supposed to properly clear inferno. People keep stating that farming gear won't help... until I reach that point I can't add anything of value except it's a week after release, what did they expect?

Smokescreen definitely needed fixed. I got to play a bit ago and I'm having so much more fun without it. Dying occasionally on champion packs, and even on uniques. But now that it is balanced with other skills, it makes other strategies viable. Now I'm doing vault and shadow power instead. Lots more challenging and interesting, and it feels more like this class should. I have to keep repositioning and can't just stand around. It was crazy to give a ranged class a skill with no timer that gaurantees 3 seconds of invulernability at melee range.
Well what monks had going wasn't really an exploit. They nerfed two things, one was a bug where an ability that granted extra spirit on crit was always giving the extra spirit, I was fine with them changing that. Then though they nerfed a ability by half that heals us and creates a a shield for a few seconds. This was only really "exploitable" in hell and still you could be hit faster than you could heal/shield/build spirit.
I dunno I started out Barbarian and didn't want to be forced into a "tankish" feeling role, so I switched to monk which should be fast paced DPS, well right now it's just as tanky if not more so than barbarian so I'm just gonna take a break until they get their ducks in a row.
So it's not so much the fact that Inferno is going to be hard, it's that the class becomes not what it's supposed to be in order to even have a single chance at surviving.

I've never played monk, so I don't know. But for a melee class, a few seconds of shielding seems to make sense.
Smokescreen on the other hand was just cheese. An archer should have to be constantly mobile, and getting to stand around that long with invulnerability was just crazy. It didn't feel right to me.
So glad they took care of force armor too. I'd loveto see this game balacned around PvM and inferno difficulty eventually. No class should be so obviously over or under powered that they aren't a viable choice.
Edit: Took out one word with 4 occurences in 4 sentences. I've got such stupid habbits when I'm typing fast. LOL
