Just spent 45 minutes agonizing over choices for this. Probably go with a 2her for big hits, but it probably would work just as well with 1hers (maybe even better).
The general idea is that lots of crit = lots of overpower.
Of course, this is all theoretical and may be completely horrible in practice. Let me know what you think, offer suggestions, criticism, etc.
Playtesting will reveal how often I'm at max Fury, but the build doesn't have a lot of Fury Consumers, so I kind of feel like I'll be at max fury quite often. If you watched any of the beta playthroughs where the Barbarian wasn't using any Fury consuming abilities, they were at max Fury a LOT. But yeah, play testing.
Would you be able to explain swapping Revenge for Hammer? What are your thoughts behind that choice? I chose Revenge because it's another zero Fury ability, AoE damage, and can proc a crit% boost with the rune I have in there.
Lastly, I chose Leap Attack because it adds a good amount of mobility, and generates Fury. Furious Charge would probably work just as well. Salt to flavor, I guess.
Basically, I'm thinking this is your strat with this build:
1. Leap/Charge to close with the target.
2. Frenzy spam.
3. Flavor your spam with Revenge and Overpower procs as available.
4. Keep up Battle Rage in there somewhere. I'm hoping that I can get enough crits to keep it going a long time.
Interesting build sir, I like it. There are a couple of different rune/skill combinations that create feedback loops.
Case in point: Overpower becomes available when you crit, crimson rune increases crit chance for 6 seconds after using Overpower, so basically a crit causes overpower causes crit. Very cool idea by Blizz, but might encourage 1-skill spamming, which is perhaps why they did it. Despite what most of us assume, there are plenty of gamers that want a 1-skill win button.

I dont get it, i thought i explained myself well enough.
I'll try to elaborate more explicitly:
I tought i was explicit when i mentioned i see bloated-fury-globe builds to be impractical.
I see it being best to have a good fury-dump skill like Hammer of the Ancients(Smash)(a high-damage, crit-build-friendly skill) instead of some skill that doesnt do impressive damage and has a 10% proc chance on GETTING HIT.
To compensate ditching Berserker Rage, you have an array of awesome Passives, in which i chose Bloodthirst because this build lacks survivability.
Also, what the hell is "Blood Fury"??
Hrm, I meant Battle Rage. Late here.
You never explained WHY a max Fury build is impractical. I'm not trying to be thick or contradictory, but you have to back up your statement with some supporting facts. I guess it's just not obvious to me. I'm certainly open to suggestion, but there has to be reasoning behind it.
My use of Berserker Rage IS predicated on the assumption that it will be fairly easy to reach and maintain max Fury. If that's not the case, then another passive would be preferable.
You may have a point on Revenge. As always, actually playing the game will reveal the effectiveness of things. However, I'm thinking that the Barbarian is going to be taking hits. It's kind of unavoidable as a melee class.
Lastly, I do recognize that I don't have any passives or runes that provide a vamp effect. I was planning to compensate that with gear. I'm not sure how wise or effective that will be. As always, test, test, test.
The great thing about this skill system is that you can tweak and tune as much as you want on the fly.
The build with Furious Charge instead of Leap Attack. Crimson or Obsidian rune. Really this slot is personal taste. I wanted something that gives the Barb a closer.
I was going to post a thread for my crit build but found this one. I'll try not to hijack it, but hopefully come up with some ideas for discussion.

I've worked on several builds, but this sounds like the most fun for me to try first off for my barbarian, so please give some constructive feedback
Sounds good! I'm really having trouble finding a barbarian build that looks bad. Which is great. I still plan to roll a DH first, but my first alt is definitely looking like it will be barbarian.
Here's one I put together to try and get WW to pay for itself via crits:
highlights: revenge and overpower for crit buffs, battle rage that generates rage on crits (the build hinges on WW crits generating that rage, so this build will need to have that confirmed), furious charge with cdr/hit so that i can get a chunk of rage, hop in to the middle of a pack, and start revenge/op/spinning, and WW with the cost reduction so that i can maintain whirly-ness if i have a dry streak of crits (going to be hard with something like 50% crit from runes/abilities and not counting any items).
Ruthless/weapon master (axe/hammer)/inspiring presence (to reduce the number of times i have to use battle rage)

This build is neat too...hmmmm so many good ideas.

The only issue is that Weapons Master IS 5% crit, and also gives an additional 1 Fury per swing with Mighty weapons.
As always, play testing will be the Great Revealer.
I'm not sure how weapons are classified, but if something can be a mighty axe/polearm/sword/hammer/etc then weapons master is gonna be nigh-required.
