I am interested in finding a group of people who are top-level players and plan to dedicate most, if not all of their free time to D3 when it's released. I'll be taking at least two weeks off of work and will be shooting for a realm first level 60 as well as Inferno clear.
Here's what I would consider my notable achievements in Gaming:
Multiple Gladiator titles (I still have a toon with 3 glad mounts)
I was GrandMaster in SC2 for a couple weeks, and won the Team Liquid Open #23, along with a few other small tournaments.
I had 2k ELO in HoN as well for a short time, now I am sitting at 1900 but I haven't played in months.
I also had an amazing raiding DPS Warrior in WOTLK, managed many server firsts (On Spirestone Horde). I sold my raiding Warrior right after my guild completed all the Ulduar Hardmodes for $900 (game was too easy/boring) I also had an Alt Priest that I got Duelist with before selling (I still had a couple blues hah)
upon request I can provide proof of most if not all of this history as well.
You can play on my team. I like playing with people who enjoy taking the game seriously. I have DAoC videos showing my skills. Wanna do it?
I'm interested in what type of setup (4 man) you'd like to run in Diablo 3. What would be your ideal setup? I want to see how it compares to what I have in mind.

Uh.....No offense but I am fairly certain any guild I'd be interested in being a part of would have a slightly more 'structured' initial post in my thread.
Doesn't mean we can't play together at some point though.
As far as my speed run group goes I have some idea's of what class combinations would complement eachother best (I've spent hours with the skill calculator) but as I won't be able to force whoever I group with to choose X class I'd rather not let potential competitors gain my insight.
No offense taken. I wasn't actually being completely serious. Don't get me wrong, I take video games very seriously (especially online competitive games) and have been a competitive gamer for nearly 10 years. The reason I was not completely serious was because I know that I will be playing with my girlfriend most of the time, and while I am very confident in my skills and ability to study and constantly improve my gameplay, I am not sure how she will fare.
If, however it turns out that my gf gets really fired up about the game (she's already pretty hyped) right before release, and seems to pick things up quickly and share as much interest as I have, I will be looking to play with 2 or more other people who take the game as serious as I do. Mostly, as of now, I don't want to hold anyone else back while trying to teach my gf, unless they don't mind it.
For the sake of satisfying my own interest, I'd like to discuss builds/setups with you, if you'd like.
Edit: Just read your last sentence, so I guess we can scratch mine. But! Gonna throw this out there anyway; Monk, Wiz, Wiz, DH

I've got 1-2 core builds for each class. For every core build (meaning most efficient for grinding norm-hell) I have 5-7 small tweaks just based on some number crunching I haven't done yet as well as a few things that Blizz hasn't made clear. Right now I am working on Inferno builds but it's hard to figure out just how much utility a group of top level players will need when doing this.
It doesn't look like you've checked the thread anytime recently, but I'm looking for something similiar I suppose. I'm not respresenting any guild or clan, but my ideals and experience with competitive (whether pve or pvp) games in the past is similar to yours.
In WOTLK I was part of quite a few heroic server firsts, and I was only about 3 hours behind being server first to 70 (I finished about 6th or 7th, but it was because at 68 I stopped because I wanted to tame the server first Spirit Beast, which I did get after about 12 hours of camping off and on during leveling). In BC I also held a few world highs for dps in MH and BT for a few months.
Like you, I've already spent hours min/maxing with the calculator, and my computer's calculator. I'm looking for people to play with who take things just as seriously as I do, and strive to be the best. Theorycrafting is pretty much mandatory. Optimal builds, rotations, etc.
Anyways, if you do check this thread anytime soon, feel free to reply or send me a PM.
Cheers

I will say however, that I'll be playing a DH.

Feel free to take this to PM, though.
