Well, considering I play WoW, I do not nessecerely mind paying; however If it was under WoW's status of gameplay and entertainment, I wouldn't pay to play.
i voted Yes bvut i really do hope its free....I mean with how much they made off of wow they could either be greedy and try to make more(which they know they will) or keep it free like it should be to play
As much as i respect you Silver ......
I think that is a stupid comment Blizzard doesnt make people pay cuz they want money its so you can play with Tons of other people insted of the 8 like in D2.

-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.
Battle.net 2.0 charges a subscription fee. Diablo III, is hosted on this new service. However, Diablo III still functions like Diablo II. There is no persistent world like there is in MMORPGs. As for why there is a monthly fee?? Blizzard cites faster servers, more customer support, and faster patching for the enormous amount of players.
Would you pay to play Diablo III? How much are you willing to spend?
You forgot to add an option for avid fanboys that will pay over 15 a month for a new Diablo title.
Too bad Diablo III will not be MMO - No monthly fee anyway, but this should be interesting. Weeee!
I chose "No" because - I would prefer to not to pay a monthly fee for anything, even cable, and internet! - but hey, if it's that goog, I just may pay 19.99 a month for awesome Diablo III!
Uh oh, what if Diablo III is like Dungeon Runners, or Hellgate: London? - you get to play, but its really crappy on purpose, so you pay monthly to get all the better stuff.. now that would be greedy! - Curse you Flagship Studios and NCsoft! - oh well, a few bucks a month isn't that much anyway lol
first assuming D3 is a pay to play game, im not going to pay over $14.99 a month. But i dont see it being less than $9.99, so somewhere inbetween there im happy, but for the purposes of this poll ill go with $9.99.
personal preference is not to pay, but if i have to, i have to.

Well it really depends what D3 is like. If it is close to D2 then I would pay, if it's like WoW then I doubt it. Much as I loved WC, I couldn't play WoW. And if the case is where D3 is so different from D2 and it's pay to play then I don't think I would pay at all.
you going to just accept it and not play it? or get a friend to pay and play his version, coz ive been tempted to do that.
i have some friends to play WOW/other pay to play MMO, so i might just jump on their game and play it. but im too busy lately.
they pay you play.

Judging by what LarryNC, Elfen Lied, and Winstone has said. Can you see why I am worried about Diablo 3 being pay to play! Blizzard can get away with it easy. Why?? Because they can. Because people are willing to pay.
That was the whole point of my argument Larry. Companies can do it, because they can. Because there are people willing to pay happily for it. Does it make it just? or right? No. They are screwing the consumer. Taking advantage of them. And you defended them Larry.
At this point I'd be willing to pay over the $15 a month. Of course, my decision would also be heavy on whether it looks as awesome as I think it will be, but if its like 3 times better than anything I've ever played and is like $20 a month, I would pay. I'd probably get like the year deal, where you buy an entire year of it and pay less, kinda like buying in bulk.

yes, they can get away with it. make it pay to play and people will pay to play.
i hope they dont though, d3 should generate enough fundage without fees. Twilight Princess did ok, as did D2, D2 still holds the guiness world record for fastest selling PC RPG game right?

Yeah - If its that good, prices don't really matter as long as they are reasonable.
Sabacca50 may be right on his part about "Because the company can" - What I'm worried about is if Blizzard actually charges you like Flagship Studios is now going to do with Hellgate: London - but they said Starcraft II on Battle.net v2.0 will not be pay to play, so assuming Diablo III is on Battle.net v2.0 - No fees - Like I said before, if its an MMO - most likely 14.99 a month.. which is not that bad at all in my opinion.

Yes Larry. Now you see why I am concerned. Additionally, Blizzard has not officially stated that the new battle.net 2.0 will be free. Blizzard's COO Paul Sams said that Starcraft 2's business model is still undetermined.
