I like the way Titan Quest graphics are, except for the bright and happy fantasy world.
Now if Blizzard would combine a very dark and midevil style with 3D, and the DII perspective, it would be awesome.
Another idea that I like is how Hellgate:London is going to have an enormous range in graphics. For example, they say that the graphics can be tuned down so that people with computers 5 years old will run it fine. But it can also be turned up so that the newest most advanced 3 gighertz computers with DirectX10 and 512mb vid cards will be able to take full advantage of the game.
If Blizzard does that, then they will have a huge range of customers. They will get all the original players of DI, and DII, as well as all the new kids with high tech processors to the Diablo world .
I'd like to see it with similar graphics of Company of Heroes. Each person in CoH was awesomely detailed for an RTS, very lifelike. The movements were awesome as well. W/ same view as D2 and CoH graphics, D3 would be flippin' gorgeous!
Never thought about D3 being like CoH, but that would be a beautiful game. The textures are amazing, but of course, it would be darker like Diablo 1. A game that really makes your bones chill.

I want the graphics to suck. Like Diablo2 level, not even tidied. Why you ask? Because my computer, which by it's specs should be able to handle Oblivion with ease, lags in Diablo2 more than a bit. It annoys me to no end. I hate it. I'm getting it looked at though so it's all good. However, Blizzard has a historyof making games that run well on bad systems, so I think it'll be closer to D2 than to Oblivion.
I had to vote Warcraft III. I had only a brief experience with it, but the first thing that I noticed was how gorgeous the 3d landscape was without being overly complicated. It ran nice and smooth, but fast. Diablo is about obliterating hordes of monsters, so the game needs to handle multitudes of sprites without lagging. To summarize, give us the nice 3D landscaping of WC3 with the overhead view, no 1st person junk need apply. I like how the armours in both D1 and D2 looked different on each class of char. Keep that. Give the spells nice gfx details tho. And make them look a little better with each skill point invested into them. Mythos by Flagship is looking promising, I think I'd like D3 done that way. Oh yeah, and make equipment visible on the damned mercenaries. The one and only thing I think I hate about D2.
well I was thinking about sth. like mix of D2 and Sacred maybe.what I would like to see, is the thing when you put some equipment(armor or sword) it would change appearance of the character(unique weapons, shields, armor and stuff like that). In D2 we could only see them if we open inventory:( and by my opinion this improvement would contribute to the graphics in D3.umm one more thing-they should make the D3 to support resolution over 1024x768.:)
i think if the graphics were like that of guild wars, this game would PWN over every other MMO. mainly because alot of people care about quality of graphics more today than they did before.

sadly yes
BGII and LOD are two of the best games ive ever played, and by today's standards, their graphics are considered poor. (course at the time they were state of the art). point is they games seemed to have an emphasis more on story than graphics, seems like today's games have done a 180, awesome graphics now outweighs story.

-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.
Thus... We use D2 graphics, D1 feel and D3 awesomeness. Or D2 style, D1 feel, D3 awesomeness and Blizzards uncanny ability to make a game look brilliant without massive system reqs.
use oldblivion, it runs very well on my radeon 9250. it think a mix a oblivion stay + rotateable isometric would be nice(solong as blizzard doesn't make all them damned gui assets that are bloody useless, "i'm going to assert cause x item has more than 3000 chars of text, instead of just not showing it..." sometimes you think bilzz are a buch of dumbasses... i supposes alot of them are just gfrazier...)
