wut would be so bad about mmo d3?
I seriously think the 8 people room for diablo is very outdated
Personally I just hate MMPORPGs. I think they are all the SAME FUCKING GAME. They're desolated, poorly designed. Plus, Diablo 2 had the immersion an MMPORPG could only dream to have. The music, the characters, hell!, even the plot was great. The cinematics...oh god the cinematics were like movies to collect. All that could be ruined by a bunch of assholes jumping around in the map to move faster or because they're just bored, plus some idiot killing NPCs to make extra EXp and that dull fighting system used in Online games. Fighting in WOW is so boring. Massive Multiplayer Online Games don't need a great development. They dont need a great story or background story. All they need is a huge empty repetitive world, 100 clische skills and being caped at level 700. That's the formula. The rest, the good part, the part that really shows the effort of a programmers and artist's team, is in the player's mind. Great way to make money easily. Let's hope they invest that money in Diablo III.
P.S.: Btw, this is a list of A-RPGs I've been playing lately.:
Diablo
Diablo II
Sacred
Titan Quest Immortal Throne
Divine Divinity
Beyond Divinity
Seal of Evil
Throne of Darkness
Blade & Sword
Shadowflare
Harbinger
Space HAck
FATE
Restricted Area
Dawn of Magic
I'm looking for other good A_RPG/ Hack and Slash gaming experience.
Have any title in mind??
Why? Rooms are awesome. You can invite your friends to a certain room without having to worry about anybody else dropping in, asking to get rushed or items that you don't need. I love to play with friends.

i like mmos too (apparently, if you check my sig :P) but i didnt love Diablo for being one. MMOs are always slower than the pure hack & slash Diablo offers. And i liked how i could relax and solo the game to the end in Diablo. To see the last, or the bosses near the last, in WoW (Burning Crusade now) i need 25 well organized people (which i have, but still makes you tired after 5 straight hours). Diablo and Diablo II were a success for keeping the concept fast and simple and making the talent lines awesome. And of course for the mf part that kept me in the games from 97 to 2005
i sure hope they dont...... and i doubt they would Diablo was never thought as mmo and they should keep it that way and to have in mind most Diablo players would like it to stay the way it is Just like SC and its players i do not think Blizzard would stray from such a great online configuration

Then we're not talking about Diablo but a new game (based on an existing world and more then probable called WoD)
even a "World of Diablo" would be a Diablo, as World of Warcraft is a Warcraft. Its just not part of the RTS series. So would the MMO Diablo not be a part of the hack & slash series. Its possible that it happens sometime in the future. I just dont expect it before Diablo 3 comes out (part of the series and not MMO, yea).
Diablo is single player but we can help each other when online.
No way in hell would Blizzard leech its WOW userbase.
We'll move closer to WOW I think but not so close as to upset the WOW people in Blizzard.
Let's not remember that other Blizzard project: for mobile devices.

So we've got over the problem of colour in D3. Great. Now let's argue about everything else not yet set in stone and help make this game simply great! Game on.
Nope its not, i already explained to you why (if WoW would be Warcraft it wouldv been Warcraft 3, but if you payed attention you will notice there is a Warcraft 3 and it isnt WoW)
I said it is a Warcraft game, just not a part of the RTS series as it belongs to the Warcraft universe.
A Diablo MMO would be exactly the same. A Diablo game, since its in the world of Sanctuary, but not a part of the series.
If WoW wasnt Warcraft what are all these major Warcraft Lore characters doing in there? Malfurion, Tyrande, Thrall, Magni Bronzebeard, Sylvanas Windrunner, Illidan Stormrage, Kael'thas, Lady Vashj? It is a Warcraft game alright, just not part of the RTS series.
Its about it being a massive multiplayer online (MMO) game, wich it will not be (WoD is not a Diablo game, thats not to say i dont want a WoD, just not before i played the next Diablo game)
for the reasons explained before what you said about WoD not being a Diablo game is invalid. But i do agree with u that i wouldnt mind a Diablo MMO after i played Diablo III (and if its gonna be called Diablo III its not going to be an MMO anyway).

That's a horrible line of thinking. It doesn't have to be sequenced by number to be a part of the franchise. Warcraft 1, 2, and 3 are the RTS games. And to dub WoW as Warcraft 4 would not be logical. Plus, that would mean that there could be a sequel to the MMORPG, which is essentially without end.
How exactly could a "world of diablo" work as a MMO and keep the same characters.
For example, a necromancer can have 10-30 minions. That amount has never been used in an MMO. So would a necro be somehow "limited" to 1 skeleton??? That pretty much ruins the class.
You'd have to change a LOT of the way the classes work in order to get a Diablo MMO....
OR...
Set the MMO in the pre-trist days...ala the recent novels....
none said something about keeping the same classes. And the same power, things would be way unbalanced in an MMO environment. I'm pretty sure that when that time comes they'll think of something to fix balance.

Diablo will NEVER be an MMO!!!!!
doubt that. Diablo III will definitely not be an MMO. But a Diablo in general?.. Too much potential to leave out, don't you all think?
