The five rivers of Hades are Acheron (the river of sorrow), Cocytus (lamentation), phelgethon (fire), Lethe (forgetfulness) and Styx (hate).
Styx was the river which seperated hades between upper and lower sections.
Also there were three judges of the Underworld: Minos, Rhadamanthys and Aeacus.
Tartarus is hemmed in by three layers of night.
Three Hecatoncheires (monsters with fifty heads and one hundred arms). Zeus released them to aid in his conflict with the Titan giants.Cronus, Epimetheus, Metis, Menoetius, and Prometheus are some Titans who were banished to Tartarus. In Tartarus, prisoners were guarded by giants, each with 50 enormous heads and 100 strong arms, who were called Hecatonchires.
"God did not hold back from punishing the angels that sinned, but, by throwing them into Tartarus, delivered them into pits of dense darkness to be reserved for judgement." also fallen angles were cast into Tartarus

Dream as if you'll live forever, and live as if you'll die today. "James Dean"
Libra means "The Scales" or "Balance", so named because when the zodiac was still in its infancy, some four thousand years ago, the sun passed through this constellation at the autumnal equinox (21 September). At the two equinoxes (Spring and Autumn) the hours of daylight and darkness are equal.
As a symbol for equality, the constellation came to represent Justice in several middle Eastern cultures. However, the Greeks had a different perspective; at one time Scorpius, which lies just to the east, was much larger, and the stars that make up Libra were then known as the Claws of the Scorpion.
Eventually, however, these stars of Libra came to represent the Golden Chariot of Pluto. The story of Pluto's abduction of Persephone is a widely known Greek myth, perhaps because it has such a strong astronomical association.
Pluto's (or Hades') Golden Chariot was used whenever the Lord of the Underworld wished to visit the Upperworld, usually to seduce a nymph. But when he took Persephone back to Tartarus, the deepest part of Hades, the Upperworld would change forever. The name of the ruler of the Underworld was actually Hades. Hades was a brother of Zeus and of Poseidon; he was usually ignorant of the happenings of the Upperworld, only emerging rarely from his dark kingdom.
Hades also seperated into 2 sections Erebus and Tarturus
Erebus- Son of primordial god Chaos
i also found that their are 3 main sections of Tarturus i believe
Elysian Fields-Good and heroic sent here similar to Christian Heaven
Asphodel Meadows-a ghostly place that is an even less perfect version of life on earth.
Tarturus- Similar to Christian Hell
maybe prime evils?

this doesnt make any sense anymore. There isnt a connection between greek mythology and Diablo... there wasnt before this "hydra" rumor. Now there is? not really.

says someone who tries to find connections where there arent any. I admire your passion, but what you're looking for doesnt exist. I wont start with "no you're dumb" cause its not my style, but some things just dont fit. For instance, most ancient names come from greek since it was the language (and culture) that dominated the ancient world. Everything till the east roman empire was translated in greek, and most names, apparently, too. Most if not all the known arch-angel names come from greek. Someone tries to find fancy ancient names... where would they look? yeah, right, Greek mythology. This doesnt make the universe they created connected with where some of the names come from. All of Act 2 in Diablo II looks like Egypt. I dont see anyone saying anything about that mythology. Why isnt there any connection with that? Oh, right, cause someone "thought" of the codename "hydra". But has nothing to support it. Its "Sanctuary" where Diablo is playing, NOT Ancient Greece.
Titanomachy - The war between the Olympian Gods and the Titans the 3 brothers Hades Zeus and Poseidon received gifts from three Cyclops which gave them the lightning bolt Trident and helm of invisibility.
don't know if this is related

like I have stated before if you don't want to participate in the "GAME" of finding what his codename really means then I don't care but don't bombard the Thread with your pessimistic rantings on what you believe.

Originally, Tartarus was used only to confine dangers to the gods of Olympus
Like Diablo II, Diablo released his minions into the world. "Tartarus" could become unstable, again.
