I think I was replying to some other post or something.

"The most tragic thing about religion is that evangelical people who have such a degree of blind faith, who do and believe terrible things because they are sold as the will of God. Unfortunately this is almost half of America and leads to such things as electing George Bush, twice..."
For all who have waited the time has come pick up your axes, swords, spears, and bows the awakening of hell is upon us protect sanctuary to your dieing breath
I'd have to say the storyline, but everything about it interests me really

Actually, something that I'm also REALLY looking forward to are the cinematics. I loved how the Diablo II cinematics told a story that made sense even if you didn't really play the game, since it told its own story, watching them all was like watching a mini-movie. I've always loved Blizzard's cinematics, but the WoW ones really arent satiating my need for good cinematics. Sure, they're pretty, but they have no substance to them. WoW cinematics are like that really dumb ditzy girl good to look at, but thats pretty much it. Diablo cinematics are like that hot nerdy girl you're into, good to look at, but also have substance! Plus are a bit darker
If it's one thing blizz pulls from this site I hope it's this poll. While I doubt people would disagree with good graphics, this poll shows(at this point in time) that the Diablo community doesn't care about pushing the limits of DX10

Firstly, Diablo doesn't have a good story, in my opinion many others (not talking about books, those were just made for money drainage). Secondly, I know plenty of games that are good, but they either do not have an original story (Age of Empires), or a low-quality story for the sake of existing (Serious Sam, FarCry, Lander, and, for me, Diablo). I won't let you bash all those games that just decided not to concentrate on the story. And DooM fans won't like you.
Yeah, story with me aswell. I can't see Diablo going down the path of Warcraft and totally ruining the storyline and covering it up with graphics and gameplay.
Well even the first Diablo had a very rich backstory, even before the novels. At first glance, it seems very cliche and typical, but reading the manual and in game tomes really shows how well thought out every piece of backstory is.
...you could say that about so many games. You guys just usually don't pay attention to detail in games, but when you play a game over and over, like Diablo, you begin to do so, so now you think Diablo is somehow different.

Okay, how does Diablo not have a good story? It is well though out, has many twists and turns, and there aren't many questions you can ask about it (questions as in flaws).
And two, the plot makes a game/movie. That's why I like Diablo, Starcraft, and Warcraft 2.

Federer lost Wimbledon. Why? Becase none of you bastards cheered for him...
How does it have a good story? It's heaven vs hell vs mortals, hella old theme. Good vs evil - boring. Angels, demons, skeletons. Been there. Then we have all these little cults, orders, and stuff like that, same cliche fantasy stuff I saw in louse fantasy books. There is no character because every character you play is dead and has no form. Besides, the whole idea of a guy who kills hundreds of monsters and can kill a prime evil kinda destroys the whole idea of a story.

*wonders how many SC players know anything about its story*

Yeah, well what kinda of story would you prefer then. Lol thats the best storyline that is out there, all they need to do is develope it more. Then maybe it'll get more interesting. It's not whats in the story, it's how all those things in it are connected and played out  hehe

I don't know you're talking about not paying attention to detail in games, but in every game i play, i always pay a close attention to the story/backstory of the games, and I enjoy the storylines of a lot of those games, but others just aren't done very well. Diablo's storyline seems very typical in its good vs. evil aspect, but besides that, its really quite different from those fantasy cliches.
The Diablo mythology is good and is growing. The problem that most people find is that your own character has no depth- that's something that had to be sacrificed to make the game work on a large scale online. If your characters have no personal depth besides their back stories (like the Druids' exile to Scosglen or the story of the Sorceress' change-over to study of only the prime magics), then when you have 8 Sorceresses in a single game no story inaccuracy occurs. Or at least that's my take.
It's still something that has to be fixed in the next installment, though. I think something that could fix this is not letting each person have an infinite number of characters and accounts, so that they have to actually become their character and be known by it on the net.
But it is lame to skip games just because you are too lazy to spend some time with them... lol

Aye, it is a reason for living. Diablo isn't just a game, it is a marvel of technology
Indeed.
Any game is shit without a good story.
