i would make six classes so If this were up to me id make it witch doctor barb pally sorc druid and ranged assasin because duids are what control nature so i mean whos gunna do that in d3 and in the artwork trailer they show a druid like 1q in or 1half in its a girl in light mail armor and shes got a pelt on her head and so far druids are the only class to wear pelts.

-Probably a solid elemental spell caster, similar to the Sorceress
-Some kind of Knight that possess magic powers
-A ranged class... maybe with trap skills... and pets
Hopefully, blizzard will release some crazy unexpected classes. A "tank"... a stealth character that can slip through enemies... a pure summoner.... whos knows.. lol.

Several wants a ranger/rogue combo. Do you want it to be as powerfull as ranged as in close combat?!? Wont happen. Mediocre in both then? Sounds horrible. The ranged class should do massive ranged damage, and little damage in close combat. The close combat assassin should do close combat dmg. only imho.
I do not believe that they will make a rogue one of the classes. This is so because it will make the game too similar to World of Warcraft. (Paladin is alright to have, but Paladin and Rogue?)

I'm starting to lean toward a Hunter class now, though, with Archery/Javelins, pets, and traps. Pets and traps would be used to keep monsters away from the Hunter, who would be fairly weak hp wise, so he/she could pick off the monsters with range.

So not turned on by the witchdoctor. Where's the real casters in this game??!! Gonna miss the necro... a lot! Bring them on... and thank god I can be a male battle mage instead of a shifty sorceress.
That leaves a final class which might be a hybrid of everything. Could this be where the druid comes in? Also, we might need a more traditional caster as well.

Yeah, in the demo the guys barely lost any health or mana. But the barbarian's still conceptually really good. I'd rather play somebody really good at melee, with AoE nukes and stuns, and leap, then somebody who was really good at range and melee.

The obvious 5th is A healing class so it has to be a paladin (not a preist I like the ability to hurt things with my hack and slash/rpgs Thank you very much)

We've got the Witchdoctor who's:
Magical/ranged.
Just reverse these roles and I think you got the next two classes:
Magical/meele (Paladin, Avenger, Death Knight, etc)
Physical/ranged (Archer, Amazon, Hunter, etc)
