nothing we haven't seen in the gameplay vid or the cinematic teaser
he points out some of the things that were mentioned in the forum
for example all the people who complained on the colors and the environments looks not being Ghotic enough

I personally dont like that change. Dont take it offensive please, as ive seen people do several times in the last few hours. Its just that i like darker games. I despise the art feel of wow. Its a little disappointing too see those graphics that i associated with wow. Ive played diablo back then when it was realeased, same thing with diablo 2. Its no surprise that im a little dispointed in the direction they took. Anyway, not all is bad though, the game still looks like it will be an amazing playing experience, i definitely will buy no matter what, i just wish they at least take out an option to have reduction in color or something.. it seems a little dumb but i think it would be a really awsome feature

They had only showed us 1 map and 1 dungeon.. who knows there may be darker places as you go forward..i honestly like it no matter what and i think the colorful feature is a good idea or they could even have an option to change color settings or something .

We're trying to balance satisfying the fans and also creating a game that feels like our own.
"We have, I think uh... most of the other classes are actually playable back in the home office, but I'm not gonna to tell you about 'em today. And uh, you know most of the uh, kinda the first act is also uh, pretty playable." -Rob Pardo
"Dark as an emotion, rather than actual colour" - Pardo.
This is the key ingredient. If Blizzard can induce the darkness and dread of Diablo II and I through gameplay, music and other elements of immersion rather than simply making everything dark, then they will TRULY achieve the next artistic iteration of this franchise.
Good find, I like the idea that we will be able to play D3 one year from now.
About the color thing, I don't know you but to me the artworks look like 100 time more dark than the actual game. Bah, that's Blizzard thing, I let them figure it out for themselves.
I was surprised when he said the only real thing they have to do now is fill it with content, its a great deal further along than I thought.
It also has me wondering, if the art styles have changed 3 times since conception what the look for the other 2 incarnations were.
If they keep it this way they will be able to at least reuse allot of the texture stuff from wow, which on a negative note decreases for the Gothic atmosphere but on a positive side we should get huge content at a faster rate.
I know, they still need to work on the graphics tho maybe add a little more diablo feel to it just a little.

"[Diablo1+2] obviously had the gothic look to it, but, you they weren't, they weren't very uh, very colorful games."
"We want to take dark as an emotion, rather than an actual color art choice." -Rob Pardo
"Why the hell shouldn't it be for 'kiddies', it's a goddamn game afterall." -lethlan

Id say 2 years. The first act is nearly playable they said. I'm sure there is atleast 5-6 acts.
No more west/east.

They probably are...
You mean 3 years. Listen to Rob Pardo. Also, the Acts should be the last thing to add.
