" 3:18 -- While nothing was confirmed, Wilson made it sound like you'll probably be able to respec your character skills."
I do not see any reason why they should impliment this now. It makes me feel like they are being too heavily influenced by WOW. Each character needs its own personality. You see "XxPKTHENOOBxX" and you know hes that asshole that kills everyone for no reason... and you know he's lightning spec. That is personality. That needs to feel the same as Diablo 2.
They don't want people getting rushed through the game just to have another high level. I understand that. But some people like going through the game more than a few times. Some people enjoy planning their skills... and seeing if it is a good build or not. It was part of the fun of the previous games. Why take that away?
Okay... so you may have made a mistake with your skills... give people 1 or 2 respecs... but not ENDLESS.
Greetings!

Respeccing has NOTHING to do with WoW. What it does have to do with is escaping character regret when your a noob and making it so that if you get a Barbarian to 99, if you put a skill point in a wrong slot you don't have to reroll a whole barbarian.
I think it would be fun to have. This way people can come up with cool and interesting builds much more easily. Maybe even put a timer on it as well. I.E. You must wait so-n-so hours after respecing before you can do it again.
I would like to see respecs, but in a very limited form. In such a way as to be useable for fixing mistakes, or maybe a full refit on rare occasion. Hi cost or time delays for major overhauls.
Full respecing on the fly like Guild Wars? No, no way.
But I would like to see a way to (at least) fix mistakes.
I personally hate respecs, but i guess a hard quest or something that allows you to take back a couple of points is ok. But as one guy above said, NO FULL RESPECING ON THE FLY!!! That is half the fun of diablo 2, you are able to create loads of characters and it further enhances the play time.
I don't think you should have any Total Respecs, but instead you should be able to undo perhaps your most recent 1-5 skills you've dropped in.

Zynalc: "I believe that most of the people have read some books or seen some films about santa. The typical figure of santa is not invincibley powerful but always very very fraudulent."
Respeccing would be a good addition, but of course everybody is then gonna think ITS ALL LIKE WOW OH MAN WHAT AM I GONNA DO ITS SO MUCH LIKE WOW THEY STOLE IDEA FROM WOW
If anything respecs that last a minute after the initial choice, for mistakes.
Exactly, thats perfect.

I voted no but if you had made a third option "Yes within limits" I would have picked that. I do not think you should be able to freely reassign skill points whenever you want but I do think there should be some way to respec one time at a high cost. The respec for 1 minute thing isn't a bad idea either.
Re-speccing without limits would completely null and void the reason to make multiple characters of the same class.
I personally think re-speccing should be limited, possibly in the fashion AlphaX described or maybe something like one point change every few days to allow your character to grow stronger if you find a way to better make use of the items you find, etc.

Personally, it's dumb not to have it.

"I am Shaolin-Style!"
"Monster + Explosion = Awesome!"
Making Controversial points one post at a time!
Me: "Dude, I think you meant 'Satan.'"
STFU.
It's the decisions you make when you have no time to make them that define who you are.
Exactly, thats perfect.

Fuck you, I'm a dragon.

Future implies changement and advancement, you'll just have to accept that.
Isn't there anything more annoying than putting a skill point in the wrong slot and having to restart a character over?
Common say yes to respecs.
