So, do you guys like the new mode of inventory, where every type of item takes up one space (i.e. the world of warcraft version)?
I dont really like it, I loved the larger item types, rearranging your inventory to fit your needs, etc.
What do you think?

Zynalc: "I believe that most of the people have read some books or seen some films about santa. The typical figure of santa is not invincibley powerful but always very very fraudulent."
I think the small, single item slots are both unrealistic and don't allow you to really see the items you pick up. I mean, a set of Ancient Armor shouldn't take up the same space as a ring. Just makes sense.

We were used to the large inventory with lots of item space, now it looks like a dumbed down version.
And wtf is the red globe thingy which replaced the health potions?
Bring back the potions.
People say the gameplay has not changed, well they're wrong it has changed a lot.
I rather like this inventory oh and they said while there are still some pots it's more about using skills and less spamming pots which wasn't the best part of D2 hehe.
The games in the alpha stage if that, it is not uncommon for things to change based on reactions. It is highly possible that in the final product the inventory is like the one you all seem to love.
But again it is possible you are seeing what it will be like in the game when you play it.
It is surprising to see the number of people who seem to think that what they are seeing is what they will be getting.

-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.
Even though we got to see the inventory for only like 1/2 a minute spanned throughout the entire 20 minute presentation, it looks better defined and friendlier.
I think there could be a far more intelligent intuitive way of eliminating the need for mules.
Although I am not capable of designing such a wonder, I assure you it is theoretically possible!
Yeah like more space, but then someone might bitch and mention the similarity to a three letter acronym that everyone hates.
They didn't replace potions, they just added orb's so you don't have to rely solely on potions.
As far as the inventory, now you don't have to have as many mules carrying your shit around.
Pretty much, they wanted the ability for players to not have to rely on potions as much and still have a surviving chance when they are actually out of pots, save the amount of tp runs.
I have always liked the idea of a huge or infinite inventory space even though I realize that it lacks the realism that a lot of people enjoy. I just never enjoyed running out of space and or constantly re-arranging stuff.
But is this a step backwards? No. In fact quite the opposite. Now you don't spent precious time playing tetris with your inventory to snag that set armor. This goes along with the "less downtime" theory and not having to use potions all the time.
What really dissapoints me is the red orbs on restoring your health and possibly blue obs restoring your mana. Not only it reminds me of the XBox 360 (Marvel: Ultimate AlliancE) but it also downgrades the adrenaline feeling when battling alot of mobs
Either way though, the images for the items are really small and not very detailed. Even if they are single-slot, at least blow em up a bit.

Well said- It'll just be an adaptation thing for us. On the other hand, it's still in alpha, so it *might* change.

Friendlier does not equal more fun
Fun does not equal practical, we can go in circles all day.
The tetris inventory was fun sometimes... but it was also a pain in the ass at times.
