Not sure if this has been mentioned before, but something I'd really like to see is the ability to download your Battle.net Character, and then use that in single-player/LAN games.
Say your nearing your download limit for the month with a week or so to go, or your internet breaks down, you can still play with your character, and experiment a little, go exploring with the character you've put hours/days/weeks into.
Of course, there'd have to be ways so that no-one could upload a character to battle net, it would have to be strictly a one-way thing
You know there is a thing called Open Battle.net right?
On open battle.net you can play on Single Player, and Multiplayer with the same character, and alternate between the two modes.
D3 will probably have the same thing.

Haha xD Good old Open-Battle.net. I remember almost going deaf everytime someone join a game from the heavy sound of all his auras ^^ It was fun for about 10 minutes, then I went back to Closed-Battle.net.
Anyway, what pernunz meant is alittle bit different... although I prefer we wouldn't have that kind of option because it's alot easier to get good items and leveling in Battle.net than in Single player (because people can help you). So moving your character to Single Player would be like "cheating" because we all know its about 1,000 times harder to complete Hell in Single Player than In Battle.net.
well they may allow it but you should not be able to do it the other way, ie single player to b.net.... they have the chars on b.net saved on their servers so you can't hack it with a trainer.... if you can download the char, you can then mod it with a trainer and then load it back and then your god... until every other person does it on b.net and then nobody is having fun.... they won't allow chars to be uploaded to b.net but I guess I could always see an option for it to be downloaded permantly.

I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones.
What I meant Elfen, was getting the character from Battle.net, and playing it solely on your computer.
Other than open battle.net, this would not happen then. Especially not if there is a way to put them back on the realm.
With Closed battle.net your character is saved on a Blizzard Server (supposedly so it can be checked for hacks and edits and the like). Open Battle.net, as it ties in with Single Player, saves characters on your computer, and there are no checks against hacks and edits.
If you can take a character from the realm then put it back, there would be no way to stop hackers, as it would be in essence Open Battle.net.
Seems like an easier way to hack realm characters.

Nothing worse than trying to battle monsters with shaped internet
There is always Single Player. It works fine, why not just use that?
If it is a single one way thing, Realm to Single Player, I do not really see the point. I rather just do one or the other Single Player or Realm. And That is even with a 56k connection (Black Wall Lag here I come!!!).
I would exactly call Open Battle.net the best of both worlds, as the hacking and duping is much worse.

I meant it's a one way thing where you can get a copy of your character for something like a trip without internet but you can't upload, only download from the closed realms so you don't have to restart.
