they have never eve said that they will use in-game graphics for cinematics.
they used it for the shows because the Blizzard cinematics team is more than likely busy with cinematics for SC2 and WoW
In some of the (game play) videos there was a lot of in game cinematic movies of character interractions (mostly involving deckard Cain). I think certain scripted events will use in game cinematics, where as say act (part, chapter, what have you) will have full CGI cinematics.
Blizzard likes using the in game cinematics for little scenes of dialog or a short movie. Wrath gate in Dragon Blight in WOW for example, but they also like to do bigger cinematics too.

-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.
They obviously used CG for the trailer released at the WWI, and they obviously used enhanced in-game graphics for other cinematics. They're using both.
I seriously hope this is false. I have seen the trailers for wizzard and monk and they are laughably ugly.
