Ok, so this is the topic of the week, everybody coming up with ideas and all.
I started this thread, not to ask for ideas, but for us try to guess using true data, blizzard gave us during those last 2 years, for what are they planning.
Ok, videos are there, blizzard has art for all those skills systems, they can very well be trying any of those styles.
Facts of what is coming that we know:
Ideas that blizzard like :
* Randomly dropped skills
* Skills Modifications (will still be by Runes atm )
* Class specific skills
* At least 6 active skills ( they are on the panels, and also if you notice on diablo 3 webpage its around that per class )
* Signature Skill
Ideas that blizzard dislike, or they dont think fits the game :
* Sinergy ( added confusion, and didnt solved the problem back then )
* Not a high number of skills
* Not using the "UO" system ( of using the skill to level up it )
This pretty much opens and close for what we can expect, and can?t...

The first panel about skills that you see on that video was abandoned this year 2009 , however its very well something they may have gone back.
Its not a skill tree... and reading the developers idea ( NOT FINAL, BUT ON THE RIGHT TRACK written on that panel)
And rolling back to ideas blizzard HAD, but abandoned ( and might be back )

It hardly works with Torchlight and hopefully Blizzard notice this.
