I'm just curious with all the gamescom coverage if anyone has seen a video or a screenshot of the current quest log in Diablo 3? I really want to see how much its changed along the lines of how the rest of the UI has changed. I'm also excited to see how many quests it can hold and just what the layout can tell us about quests in general.
I've watched pretty much every video about Diabo 3 on YouTube and I haven't seen the quest log at all. I hope in the beta people do some good videos of the entire UI.
There is a quest log video, go under the main forums, pick D3, then one of the sticky pages has a whole list of bootlegged videos. One of the first couple videos in that list, under 'bootlegged', not the official ones, shows the toon opening up his quest log twice close to the start. It looks like its divided into two squares, top and bottom, with the top being bigger. And the top houses tinier squares with pictures that represent your quest, and the bottom has a description. From what I can tell =D
It's from '09 so I wonder if it hasn't changed yet. Because it has a large icon for the main quest (probably), and two smaller icons, one colored (active quest?) and one grayed out (not yet acquired?). It only has three quests, which makes me think its specifically set up for the demo build. The icons will probably randomize according to what quests you will find in that play through, I guess. It's all very interesting.
Still, it gives a pretty good idea of what to expect. Very nice find.
