I'm not sure if this is stated and don't remember how it was in DII but the achievements got me thinking, can you repeat a difficulty as well as skip the order (say, go straight to hell) instead of doing them all in order and one after another?

I agree with feminism. I don't think that it's right that for every dollar a man makes, a women gets 70 cents. Why do I only get 30 cents and some chick gets the rest?

rofl no. you cannot "skip" difficulties in diablo. but you can repeat over and over and over
if you could. it would be impossible to survive. you would have to farm Normal for weeks to get to a level high enough (and you can't get good gear in normal so theres that) to survive in hell. and considering you have to have "good hell gear" to survive in inferno. also an impossible jump.
You need to complete normal to start a game on nightmare and so on (so you can't skip, that will defeat the purpose of the mechanic). There will be buttons for you to click and you can always repeat a particular difficulty except the quest are already complete so it's basically just farming. Hope that helps.

I love all loot fest kind of game! I will be playing all of them for the next few years. Loot fest games I'm looking forward to: LotR: War in the North,Torchlight 2,Borderlands 2 and of course Diablo 3.
In Diablo II you had to complete each difficulty before going to the next. So, you had to do Normal->Nightmare->Hell, in that order.
You could go back and repeat a difficulty. When you were playing single player, after picking your character a menu popped up to choose what difficulty you would go to. On Bnet, when you would make a game you would choose the difficulty in the game options when creating it.
I'm sure in Diablo III you will still be able to choose a difficulty, but it may not be exactly the same way as it was before (different menu, or something).
