What's amazing about that is the book is not yet on sale until December 13, 2011.
It beat the likes of Scott Pilgrim, Frank Miller's Holy Horror, Sandman, Twilight The Graphic Novel Vol. 1, Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season Eight Volume 8: Last Gleaming.
That seems about right. There's The Diablo Archive, Moon of the Spider and the Sin War Trilogy.
Awesome, looks like I'm all set then (with the exception of the Book of Cain). Don't think I will pre-order mine unless I can pick it up from a local store. I want it on release day!
I've got my copy on pre-order too. Also in the middle of the 3rd Sin War's book atm with the Archive en route currently too! Had a little trouble getting Moon of the Spider though. When I'm half way through the archive i'll try order again. I think I'm a little too excited for this release!
Thanks, it's supposed to be a Dark-Tyrael of sorts. Not that I like the theory, I just think he would be kickass as a fallen angel (but maybe that's more likely to happen to Imperius - maybe I'll change it).
Does each book have a segment of the lore of Diablo Universe? Or is there one book which will summarize all of the lore?
Just trying to get a grasp on whether I would want to spend the time reading these (I don't read much; since I have to do it so much for school I rarely find enjoyment in it).
Richard A. Knaak... why do they keep hiring this guy? Oh man, I've TRIED to read his Warcraft stuff but I just blanked out after a while and just kept turning the pages.
I read a lot of fiction, it's not all high-caliber stuff but what he writes is usually drivel. I'll have to slug through it since I wanna get caught up with the lore (and retcons, if any).
At the moment of posting the graphic novel in # 1 position was Twilight: The Graphic Novel. However, as of today, Diablo III: Book of Cain became the # 1. Cheers to Blizzard and Insight Editions. Nice feat for a book not on bookstores yet lol.
Is it a must to read the other Diablo books or can you just jump in and start with Diablo III: Book of Cain?
The book of Cain will be a compendium of Diablo lore, so I don't think you will need to read other Diablo books in order to understand the Book of Cain. It would be better if you have read, but imo, I don't think it is a must.
Didn't read any Diablo Books, but I am definitely going to pre-order this one. (The cover and graphics look nice)

"I am the Master of My Fate; I am the Captain of My Soul." by William Ernest Henley.
The other Diablo books are pretty cool. Problem is that I'm not sure what is canon anymore.
With the change to the Worldstone, the Sin War trilogy can't really be considered canon anymore.
Wait, how exactly can't the Sin War trilogy be canon with the new Worldstone info? Inarius stole the Worldstone -- just the book never said where it was stolen from. Thus, I don't see how the book has canonic conflict.
According to the Book of Cain the Worldstone was originally stolen from the Pandemonium Fortress, and the fortress itself was built around the Worldstone on Tyrael's orders.
Update: Now it is the # 1 Best Seller. Woot!
