Didn't Force try to do something like this, but then he was informed that doing promotions like this on youtube is actually an actionable offense (three strikes and you're out)?
Oh yeap, found the link, looks like if you're a Partner, you should be careful.
Just to clear the air, I had initially planned to do the giveaway of keys on YouTube, but it had to be changed due to legal reasons. YouTube has fairly new rules and regulations concerning giveaways of this nature on Partners (those who monetize content) channels. Essentially we are to avoid any giveaways that ask for likes, subscribers, or anything that would drive up traffic to our videos as a direct result of giving something away. YouTube had been dealing with lawsuits because Partners like myself could make money giving away someone else's product / service.
Rather then jeopardize my account that I've worked so hard building over the past year, we simply moved the contest to Twitter. Hope that helps clear up any confusion, thanks for understanding!"
Edit: Apparently I suck at actually pasting a link.
This is the first time I've seen this. I'm not a partner and i just wanted to give a key away, using the best possible way to let every one have a chance at it which is YouTube.
