That top laptop is nice but for 2.6K you could build yourself a VERY VERY nice desktop PC also i7's are a waste unless your using a multi-threading capable program...
I'm getting a new pc built "Soontm".

how about this one... like many here, i've tried everything to get into the beta... and, thanks to rhykker's post, i finally get in through the game front contest. so i excitedly fire it up, play for about an hour... and my laptop melts.the.f***.down. i knew i was on borrowed time playing games on a laptop that's a glorified netbook, but really? right at my moment of beta triumph? needless to say i'm scrambling now to upgrade a desktop i've had lying around for a while. im really only building it to play this game, and i don't have gamer pc funds allocated, but i think this should get me by for next to nothing $.. also, do i add the cost of these parts to my total for "i just want to get out of the RMAH my investment in the game" ? lol.
I couldnt resist... I had to buy a PC for BF3.. but she'll be good for Diablo 3
Sapphire Radeon HD 6970 - 2GB
Intel Core i7 2600K Unlocked
Gigabyte GA-Z68XP-UD3R Motherboard
Corsair Vengeance - 16GB DDR3-1600 / PC3-12800
Thermaltake TR2 Bronze 700W
Western Digital 1TB

Love building PC's, sad thing is when i shipped it from Sydney to Perth the video card go damaged so i had to wait a month for warranty replacement.
It....was......torture!
Sweet laptop , wonder how long the battery goes on ultra @ skyrim , or any other high GPU Ram eater ^^
That's a very simple problem, I never put the battery in. I always use my laptop plugged into the wall outlet and leave out the battery.
Having the battery in, overcharges it and shortens its battery lifespan. So, I either go to a library, Starbucks or a cafe at the lobby of the hotel I'm staying at whenever I need to play and I am not at home.

Good luck with that. I already have a desktop PC at home, but I'm always out of the house so having the MSI GT685R, will make playing Diablo III very accessible to me anytime I want to. I don't need to be at home or to rush home as soon as I get out of work.
Portability sold me the laptop as my first choice. Besides, the price in Newegg.com or Frys.com is not 2.6K. It's just a little over 2K now.
Bought my new GTX 560 yesterday... should be in tomorrow and I'll test it by running SC2 at max and playing the Desert Strike custom map (sudden death has a ~500 vs ~500 army fight)
Rest of my rig is rather pedestrian, 4GB ram, Athlon 64 X2 6400+, but processing should be sufficient. Right now my HD 2600 XT is the bottleneck in games.

Your GPU though is definitely more than enough to max out the game's settings. Your RAM is plenty sufficient too.
GPU : EVGA GTX 570HD 2560MB (might do SLI with these in the future, waiting on Kepler to see if it would be better just to upgrade to a new single card.)
Ram :
I'll post some pictures when I get everything in later this week and get it all togther.
Pics are coming...
The rooms still a mess, I already heard it from the wife. I was in such a hurry to get everything together that the wiring in the case isn't exactly how i want it.
Anyway, the ram I wanted was out of stock at newegg so I just used the Kingston Hyperx T1 that was in my old build. On an awesome note, my GTX 570 is still in its stepup period, so I poped over to EVGA.com this morning and got in line for a GTX 680 :D, super excited. Unfortunately there are 124 peole ahead of me, so maybe I'll have it by the time Diablo 3 comes out, not that i'll need it for d3, but hey I get to upgrade to a 680, for less than $100 bucks, so I couldn't pass it up.

My PvP build would be different from these 13.

Diablo III is $50; MSI GT683DXR-423US Gaming Laptop is $1,599; Playing Diablo III w/ my wife & 2 brothers is PRICELESS

It's weird because I can run more intense games like Crysis but with Diablo I always get this stuttering early on.
Perk of being a graphic artist, well at least that's what I told the wife.
Can u say "I can't push it any further captain!" ^^
