I was stumbling around on some archives sites, and i stumbled upon this post from diablo3.com. It's not the site that most of us associate with the name today, but this site in fact back in 2008. I was in middle school at the time, in computer class, and had been searching for months for any kind of confirmation for a sequel to my all time favorite game at the time, diablo 2.
diablo3.com was a site that I looked at every once in a while when I thought about it, but I remember this day in particular. As I was saying before, I was in computer class that day and I happened to go on the site and seen this news update right on the front page. I was literally jaw-dropped as this post put a definite guarantee in my heart that they were going to make diablo 3. After that experience, I had followed this site religiously since that post, until the day d3 was released. Thank you diablofans.com
I remember this perfectly, I was a member on this site since 06 when people were still doing fan art for covers of D3. I accidentally lost my pass and user in 08 and made this one to ask a mod to help me get it back but instead they just deleted the old account and let me use this one. This has literally been my home for Diablo related news, hell any blizzard related news for over 8 years and I'm going to continue to use this site till it shuts down or I'm too damn old to use the inter-webs. Love the people here especially those from when we all sat down and tuned in to WWI and learned of D3 for the first time. Through all the shit Diablo has gone through I have to say this site has been the most professional place to talk about it. Sure there have been trolls and morons patrolling our site and there will continue to be more, but at least the majority of people who didn't enjoy the game had a civil discussion about it instead of "BLIZZARD FAK YOU GREEDI FUKS", So I applaud those who've continued their support for this site and those who have since moved on and have given us the joy of this site.
Side note: I'm almost 100% positive bumping is against forum policy. Just throwing that out there.

Well, I hope they are okay with it.
And as for the WWI, when they played that intro tristram theme song, I think the hair on my arms were perfectly straight.
/e Can you imagine being there?
