Every single post on this forum from the day it was opened could have been done without, and we would all be as happy or unhappy with our lives as we are today. But your argument suggests that "nobody cares that you <emotion> the <person/thing>."

Nobody cares that you think the whining about the shortcomings of the game are redundant.

Yes, Shad3slayer's post got deleted. It started with a very clear "GTFO Cancer" (and went downhill from there). How civil and polite is that? Blatant, direct flaming like that will notbe tolerated, as long as I am a moderator here and keep true to my oath of protecting the integrity the Diablofans forums. For as long as I can, I will not let it dwindle into a mess of trolls and haters, venting frustration and negativity on others every single day, instead of a place where people can calmly discuss the game. There are other forums who don't mind that.
His other post was clearly directed at another member (who called him out on breaking the forum rules), by mocking that member with his own words, and flaming him. Again, that trollish crap will not be tolerated here.
Ruksak's initial post wasn't directed at anyone (except maybe shaggy, but I can't really stop them from going at each other, believe me I tried). It isn't an attempt to troll people or bait them into an argument (which is what trolling is), it's just an honest opinion of an old and dedicated member, with a very valid frustration on some attitudes by the game developer. That is NOT against the rules. Ruksak was infracted a couple dozen times (almost all of them by me), but this particular post/thread does NOT directly and exclusively break any rules.
Also, the mods are only strict to people with different opinions than them, obviously. I've seen many instances were people are VERY rude/ name calling towards people who are unhappy with the game/ voice their dissatisfaction, yet I've never seen those moderated.

No, saying bad stuff about a game is "whining" or saying good stuff about it is "fanboyism". Sure, some stuff is whining and some stuff is fanboyism, but really... You need to take the two apart. When you add something that could be better then the current thing its feedback, not whining. (good things can also be feedback.) Whining is when you talk down on something with out have anything to add that would make it better. Fanboyism is blindly worshiping everything about the game(s)..

You DO NOT discuss moderation acts taken against you in public threads. Firstly, it is almost always off-topic, and derails the thread; secondly, other users have absolutely nothing to do with that.
I'm ALWAYS open to discuss moderation via PMs, I have reviewed my position and actions multiple times because either I was outright wrong (as human beings sometimes are?) or the user step forward in a calm manner and explained himself and apologised for going a bit overboard. But NOT in someone else's thread, PERIOD.
You were CLEARLY explained about that Xpire, and you INSISTED in doing it again. TWICE!!!! In the same thread! How fucking hard is it to understand such a basic idea/rule? I don't want to live on this planet anymore

It adds nothing to any discussion, and only servers to provoke other users (with whom he disagrees). And he's done it AGAIN in this thread.
I haven't done anything so far. But now that the pattern has been shown, I will not let him keep poking others with that sort of trollish commentary hidden in his posts. If nothing is done, we might be getting 500+ posts from him saying the same crap, over and over and over again.
Also, the thread hasn't been about the original post for some time now. It was a healthy discussion for a while, and that's why I let it keep going (even if it was a bit off-topic) but now it has deteriorated into what you see in the last few posts.
