Announcing the Diablofans Site Update Beta We have some great news to share with everyone. Starting today we are launching the beta of our new site design and system. This system will let us bring more features than ever before as time goes on! (Including a new stream section!)
We are looking for any and all feedback. But mainly are looking for those pesky bugs! If you find anything, please post in this thread with any of your beta feedback. You can also use the "FEEDBACK" button on the right side of the screen when viewing the beta.
Please note that the beta is a snapshot of live. This means new posts on diablofans will not show up on the beta and posts made on the beta will not show up on live
'Blue Tracker' and 'Recent Forum Posts' should have more than 4 lines. Should be like 6-7 similar to the current home page. Otherwise things drop off too fast.
I do like the blue tracker having MVP posts on it now by default and who wrote the last Blue/MVP post.
Not sure if the background of the site could be a bit better.. even if it was just the RoS Maltheal Background or something.. Or even just the Dfans logo tiled in the background. Just a bit more Diabloish but still classy
Along with "streams" you could have another section called "channels" were you have different players youtube channels you could view from Dfans. Users could add their own channels to the site but need approval from mods?
For instance a "Moldran" channel... or a "Force Feed" channel etc
Also the Beta pages "feedback" link would not let me send feedback.. gives a "unknown error" type response and says it could not send
I for one really like the layout of the beta site. But I would have to agree with Boss_Hogg about the font being used. It just doesn't feel right.

Bashiok - Blizzard Representative - 08/01/2011 -"So how many skill combinations are there now? Well taking into account 6 active skills, all the rune combinations, and 3 passives we currently expect each class to have roughly 2,285,814,795,264 different build combinations."
"Hey, I thought you'd like the witty irony of grub-on-glowie violence!"
Where did the US or EU flag label go on the blue tracker page?
That feature often lets you know at a glance whether or not the blue post will have any substantive information or whether it will just quote the ToS back at the poster.
The start white font color and huge (all bold?) font size makes it much more harsh on the eyes.
The overall style seems blocky and loud. Might be better for mobile phone users, but it's a big quality and ease of use drop-off for anyone using a device capible of actually running the game Diablo 3.

Sort of like how Imore.com has an Imore app to read its news stories and forums.
Reddit has several apps for its forums.
Can read diablo.incgamers.com forums in Tapatalk app.

Anyway, it's a happy day for all Diablo fans ;-)
