Man its hard enough rolling a decent hellfire,but the work in getting the keys is downright brutal.
You have no idea where the buggers are,and even on t6 you are no sure things.The amount of times I have done large time on act one or two for nothing....its so frustrating.
Surely there could be a little nerf done here,....surely a little higher percentage find on the highest level....even just a dot on the map where he is would help.
I agree with this entirely, it's such a painful experience, you get to T6 the hardest most challenging difficulty and the reward vs time spent feels quite poor.
A bit easier to find or higher/guaranteed drop rates would make it feel much more rewarding.
i farm keys every now and then for maybe 3 or 4 sets of keys at a time, that is like for 1 amulet. at less than 10min a run and 50% drop rate, that should be like 1 hr. sure, that doesn't sound too grindy. the problem is the drops are skewed towards a certain key or away from a certain key for most people and that makes many people annoyed. what's worse is when you are short of a single key to make a set of 4 machines, you go in and kill the same warden for like 4-5 times or more and the thing still doesn't want to drop >.<
ow cmon.. stop with all the nerfs.. we allready have 100 % chance on organs.. and farmings keys.. well this isnt really true.. an avg solo run takes me 6-8 mins on my crusader.. doing all 4 acts.. all i see now a days is "nerf this, nerf that, this takes to long" stop it ! they have HUGE aggo area, so just look for "xx has engaged keywarden xx"
also, u can do 4 man parties, where people do 1 act each, the key drop is universal, just be smart in tp'ing around to each other..

I totally agree with you! I am getting sick of those that dont want to spent time looking or farming for something, I remember the day i playes for 6 month and not finding any Legendry, Now they drop like rain from the sky, And now they want more uber keys. Where is the spirit like before, where we farmed for hours for just 1 item?
And for those that aint got infinite time a day to play or at least 6-8 hours, but used to , and still love diablo and uses the spare time he can find to grind .
The game is good as it is now.

+1, I have spent about 5 days farming keys and organs before it was buffed to 100% organs on T6. And guess what, I had around 45 sets of organs in that time. Organs buff is a good change, but buffing the keys as well is going to make it trivial. And 45 amulets got me around 6 really good ones, so I find it a good time/reward ratio.

It's sad they buffed the organs drop and not the key drop.
Farming for keys is boring, fighting ubers can be fun (but became too easy as well).
Having a 50% drop chance for organs but 100% for keys would almost equal to what we have now (you can just open portal for what you are missing, but you have to fight additional ubers) amulets/time, but it would change stuff up in the farming.
Another thing they should do imo, is require 1 key for all 4 portals, but everyone that participates has to pay 1 key. This way, someone playing solo, needs the same amount of keys as people in a 4-party, and you prevent "key trading" (like buying them, popular streamers getting tons of free runs, people botting keys on other accounts, ...)

Amazing. Good for you I guess. 70 crafted amulets got me 1 avarage and 69 disenchants. I am paragon 507 and wasted so much time on that amulet, that it's ridiculous. I don't mind the grind, but one thing is annoying. When I'm going anything else, there is a chance sth cool will drop along the way. When I farm keys/do ubers I get pretty much no items and no XP. So i put all that hard work into 70 amulets and I got 0 reward.
When I try to complete a high level grift and fail at least I get some shards and bunch of items. When I do bounty I get a fair amount of drops along the way and good XP. When I speedrift...well I obviously get everything. See the difference? It's the only aspect of the game that yields nothing, but dissapointment.
Here is a little research I have made, I find it fine atm, really. The biggest problem was finding groups for ubers, and then everyone getting uneven organ drops. But after that was changed, and 100% chance to get one, it is really not that hard to craft them.
I would rather play rifts and gamble amulets now tbh, because I don't wear Hellfire amulet on any of my characters. It can't come close to Xephirian, Countess, or whatever elemental prevention amulet. I would even consider Compas Rose+Traveler before Hellfire.
Another thing they should do imo, is require 1 key for all 4 portals, but everyone that participates has to pay 1 key. This way, someone playing solo, needs the same amount of keys as people in a 4-party
This is the one thing I was about to write as well. I consider it an oversight given that they did the same for rift-keys. Once that obstacle is gone, I'll happily farm some keys.
Though it's true that the HFA isn't as awesome as it might be. Some classes/builds can't really make use of another passive. And in high grifts, arcane (for ranged) and lightning (for melee) immunities are vastly superior. HFA wins on lower content, where you only care for maximum output.
In the future, I'd like to see a guaranteed roll of two sockets on the HFA. Sure, that's some power creep, but that's intentional (for those who care: That's an effective ladder reset, so that's one thing we might see once they have cleaned up the RNG and THUD mess). It sets the HFA apart from the rest of the pack to justify the effort getting it.

I agree on that one, then it would be a hunt worth doing for every character, especially when they introduce more defensive gems.
