I know there are people still playing but not as much as there used to be. A lot of people have quit playing Diablo 2 for reason at least. For me, it was the including of overpowered runewords. Stopped making the game fun and made the game way to easy. What was your reason?
No trolling, flaming, and no Simon cowl wanna-be's but just honest reasons why most of you quit.

SAY WHAT AGAIN, I DARE YOU, I DOUBLE DARE YOU MOTHER ******
The first time I quit D2 was from the 1.10 patch. I had many characters built that had been so utterly nerfed, that they were beyond salvation. I just up and quit then... as I didn't want to roll another character after having 7 90+'s
Second time was more or less recently as I've become rather bored with the game... how many times must I Baal.... how many times must I kill Mephy.... or the Countess.... or clear the Pits.... or whathaveyou....

grew out of the game, i get the cravin here and there. but my bro is the 1 that is not allowing d2 to be downloaded again. I get too addicted... ive been clean for like 4 years now :D:P
I got hacked once, quit for 6 months, hacked again, quit for a year, hacked again, quit for another year, I was xfering and me and my friend left at the same time, quit.
Firstly this thread proposes that I actually quit. Lol.
I would not say I quit. Quit sounds like well Quit. That is to say I dropped it and never returned. The longest I have gone without playing LOD (including Single Player) is 1 month.
It's the same with Baldur's Gate II. I still play that game and it is 7 years old now.

eh the first time on my old acct my password was the and i got take over lol... second time kid was on my friends list for a year and he told me his "password" and being stupid i believed him and told him mine... next time i was trying to getmaphack from a site and "friend" was just like ill email u mine its special version and i was like ok cool and it was a program to make me drop all my items... after that when i got rich again... i dont do anything cuz im not young and stupid anymore lol... i am rich tho and thats something.... starting 4 times over
ive hacked about 30 people. Its the best feeling logging into some1 elses acct.
You must be incredibly proud of yourself.
But as for me, I quit at one point because I was going through the process of moving. Due to some technical, and rather stupid, problems (yes, I'm talking about you, SBC Ameritech ^_^), I was unable to get internet access for awhile, and my accounts expired. I never bothered to pick it up again until 1.10.
I played regularly until the reset for 1.12, which was when all of my friends stopped playing. I suppose they didn't like the idea of having to restart or whatever, so I got stuck playing by myself. It wasn't very fun playing alone, so I rarely log on anymore; I never got any good items on my own anyway, so it's no huge loss.
I quit because there was hardly any signs of Diablo III. Now that it's announced, I'll probably play again - but not until after I get my new PC this weekend.
Barney: Of course I'll be back, if you didn't close I wouldn't even leave
Lol, good old times
I used to play D2 a lot more, but the game became way too much repetitive. Yeah sure there's always that build you didn't try but heck it still stays the same old routine.
I still play sometimes but just when I don't know what to do or when I'm too tired to do anything else.
For me...it got way to repetitive..and plus, the economy was crap...the rich stayed rich and the poor stayed poor unless you mf-ed 24/7 on shitty characters...
First time I quit was cause the game quit working, second time was when my computer crashed and I lost my install disk. Although I mostly played single player or eastern sun mod.

If I wanted to wait 30 minutes to do something I'd just raid on WoW.
Of course I could run it solo but that would defeat the point of playing online.
sucks because i kinda wanted my second account :\
