So recently i went back to diablo II LOD B.NET (what a mistake.) I played for about 2-3 months with d2loader (it's a "hack" that enables you to run diablo II in window mode, and is also a no-cd crack for those of you who happened to damage your cd these past 10 years diablo 2 has been out, which is perfectly understandable.) So everntualyl when they started banning again they banned me with the whole group of people. I then contacted customer support to know why i was banned and they told me it was because of d2loader,
well... Let me tell you soemthing else, the only computer i own is a laptop (16:10) widescreen ratio. Refusing to run a game who's max resolution is 800x600 strachted of my 16:10 laptop should not be a ban. Infact running the game in window mode should have been implemented in the game itself once the big/widescreen monitors started becoming popular. Of course, at the time i thought it was normal for them to ignore implementing this window mode because they were working on diablo 3. but "As part of our continued effort to ensure a fair and fun online experience for all Battle.net players..." Well then it looks like they haven't stopped working on diablo II and battle.net players, so why haven't they implemented some type of resolution fix or window mode for diablo 2.
For those of you who know what i'm talking about (really 800x600 streched on 16:10 is a total failure) post your comments please.

Working with adobe and/or java is like pushing a paper clip against a building and expecting it to move...
Okay, I'm not going to flame you or anything, but it makes since that they banned you for using loader. There is a command to run it in a window if you need it though.

How can I run Diablo II in a window?
PC users, simply create a shortcut to Diablo II. Right click on the shortcut, select "Properties" and add -w at the end of the Target. (Example: Target: "C:\Program Files\Diablo II\Diablo II.exe" -w) Mac users can press command+M to switch between windowed and full-screen mode.
the -w command works with any standard Diablo version as far as I know. I've always used it.
You don't need d2loader.
It's not really a random ban, you used a 3rd party program to launch D2. Even if your intentions were harmless, they have no real way to ask every single person what their intentions were with using a program
I think the bottom of the matter was that you used a system that violated their TOS. You knew the consequences so I feel you don't have the right to complain.
Their TOS doesn't care about computers that are unable to play their games - they just have the bottom line. It's a shame that you got banned, but it's how it works.

Also: I don't recall recommending that you try without D2loader; I was saying that it is excusable that they banned you for using it.
