Yeah, such is the pain of SP and part of the challenge. I might have to cater my runewords to get me the mana needed. Heart of the Oak and Rain are what I am aiming for because they give me extra mana and have relatively easy runes to get on SP.
I have the old one still, how would I update the game.
And will the shared stash remain from 1.12 to 1.13c?
Oh dear, I can never remember how PlugY actually installs. I guess you just have to uninstall PlugY, patch D2 and reinstall the new PlugY.
As for whether the shared stash stays... I'd be willing to bet it does, but I can't say for sure. Speaking of which, I do need to upgrade the mod myself. I can try it myself and see how it works out for me.
PlugY for Diablo II allows you to reset skills and stats, transfer items between characters in singleplayer, obtain all ladder runewords and do all Uberquests while offline. It is the only way to do all of the above. Please use it.
Supporting big shoulderpads and flashy armor since 2004.
Both the Wind and the Fire druid are execelent choices for SP. I've managed to beat hell with a wind druid.. His very efficient.
Other SP build i really enjoy is the Fire/Cold sorcs. Meteorb and the Glacial Spike / Fire Wall one is very efficient.
But Trapsin is, hand is the strongest SP character. I"ve saw people beat hell on SP with very crap gear and level (magic/rares only, level 6x ON HARDCORE). Trapsins are just godlike when it comes to security/efficiency balance.
Hmm.. Very interesting. I haven't played an assassin very much. That could be fun. So many decisions. My Druid right now is lvl 24 almost through act 3. I'll have to decide what class to play after that.
Don't think that the Bonemancer would make Hell easy. It wouldn't. Some stages have a fucking shitload of Magic immunes, too. The Wisp in hell is immune, if I'm not mistaken, and those big mummies in the second act are, as well. You need some serious gear to beef up your damage output, and to increase your cast rate, because if your FCR is low, you're fucking screwed. I worked my ass off on my Bonemancer. Got him to level 76, got him some very good gear, got the White runeword and all the shenanigans, and Hell is still pretty annoying. Act 4, to be specific. It's a bitch to get through. It's not hard, just needs a lot of time, and a LOT of Mana potions. A lot. A lot a lot. Did I mention that it needs a shitload of Mana? Because it does. A LOT. Unless you have a merc with whatever that runeword is that regens your Mana, or you have Mana leech on you somewhere, though I doubt the recommended gear has that, but I'm not sure.

Willowisps aren't. Greater Mummies in A2 and A3 are. Also, Zombies in the Lost City, and Wendigos in Act 3 (I think they only spawn in the Temples in Kurast). That's it. See Immune_Monsters#Magic_3. However,
You need some serious gear to beef up your damage output, and to increase your cast rate, because if your FCR is low, you're fucking screwed.
Well, I definitely can't agree with that. FCR is somewhat true in that your killing power increases dramatically with more of it, but it's not like you'll be crippled without reaching your fastest cast frames.

The only thing you really need is an Insight polearm on your merc (Bone spells cost a lot of mana), but the runes for Insight are really easy to find, so it's not a hinderance.
Basically, a Bonemancer is the anti-Hammerdin's Hammerdin. It's about as close to easymode as you can get. Like I said, the only thing you really need is that Insight. Once you get it, the only real challenge is making sure you utilize your different skills (i.e. Curses) correctly and efficiently to make your life easier.

Well damn...didn't think about that. :pinch:
Definitely puts a damper on the ol' Bonemancer.

Only for these damn purists

You have any specific builds for me to look at?
Rise and rise again, until lambs become lions

Not an issue.
Mana leech only affects physical attacks.
