Probably beating a dead horse here... Anyways when one enters a high level Greater Rift one thing usually comes to mind(to me anyways) "Will there be a nice Pylon set up in order for me to beat the Rift Guardian (whether you are a DH,Barb,WD, Sader, Wiz or Monk)?" This thought always makes me feel uneasy or maybe others for that matter. Higher level rifts just feel like a Pylon hunt rather than a display of skill power. It makes you ask yourself if your abilities and move sets truly mean anything at all. We all know that most moves and set pieces gives one enough power to take on the trash and the elites but usually it feels as if they aren't enough to take on that Guardian(In timely fashion). Granted the feeling of getting a power pylon or a conduit pylon set up for the Rift Guardian is splendid but it truly doesn't make one feel powerful or prepared. Now that the dead horse has been kicked lets kick it again. A very nice touch to solve this issue that most feel the same way about(competitively as well) would be the crushing blow mechanic that peeked out a tad in earlier versions of this game. However it was never implemented, why? Is having a random pylon needed to win big better than having an awesome skill that you love for your class have potential to hit HUGE? Of course this is would help with that timely fashion of dispatching that Rift Guardian. A little poll can be good for me here. Thanks!
The problem with the Legacy Furnace was that if it still existed now, it would be mandatory, as your damage scales up automatically with your Damage.
It's the same problem we had with Life Steal + damage stats being better Toughness/defensive stats at a certain point.
That said, maybe they should just remove any Pylon buffs in GRs when the Guardian spawns and adjust health accordingly? Make it less RNG and Pylons simply become a trash mechanic to fill up the meter differently.

Messed the Poll up a tad YES should = Crushing Blow and NO should = Pylons
Correct Emwe. I believe the old school Furnace used to have a similar mechanic.
