So I understand that MF in multiplayer games is averaged among the total number of players. Does this also apply to your Gold Find percentage? I have around 160% GF, but have only been doing A1 solo inferno runs.
Our developers have decided that bonuses + Magic Find, Gold Find + and + XP but will work differently for groups of players. These bonuses will be equal for each character in the group and depending on the sum of bonuses for all players.
The group consists of four players. In total, their stats are 50% MF, +20% GF and 10% XP, each of these players will have a 12.5% MF, 5% and 2.5% GF XP being in such a group.
Playing with a companion, available for rent, as at present receive 20% bonus to the statistics of type ‘adventure’ with a bonus companion visible on the panel.
%XP is shared. The only way to get %XP is a helm socket.
If you say XP is not shared because someone has Monster KilL Grants Bonus Exp on his gear. Of course they dont.
Also XP from picking up books, XP from shoutouts (Killing Blows in a single hit, object destruction, kiling streaks...) arent shared either.
Also, in an entirely random game, you -cannot- say empirical evidence then say "me and my friend played together"
Do you know what empirical means? It means I observed this to be true. And I admitted it's not enough data points to make a definite conclusion, but I also challenge you to produce any evidence of the contrary.
"Among scientific researchers, empirical evidence (as distinct from empirical research) refers to objective evidence that appears the same regardless of the observer."
I leveled up in coop too, sometimes with different people since we were a group of 6 people. Whenever we had a specific person that was geared with more MF, it felt like i found more blues during those times.

I am reasonably confident they're not averaged. Empirical evidence from some 20 hours showed me that having MF more than your coop partner => more items. Similarly, you can easily see XP is not averaged, and when they were explaining, they lumped MF, XP and GF together.
More anecdotal really... did you keep statistics on what gear you found with and without partners and did you make sure to capture a large set of data? No, you didn't. The devs say it is split, they wrote the algorithm, I am inclined to believe them over you who is basically saying "yeah, it *feels* like it's not averaged". Right.
Could you expand on this please?

I did not observe the same thing as you did.

However, Extra +XP per kill is NOT shared.
And may the odds be ever in your favour.
