Although I know that it's incredibly difficult to make a profit off of Diablo 3 if you include leveling up your character, getting through all 4 difficulties, and then farming, I'm wondering that, after you've reached 375% magic find and can easily farm Act 3 (or Act 4? do people actively farm it?) Inferno, what kind of hourly rate are people getting? are they finding a 100 million gold item every hour? every 4 hours? once a week? I know it's incredibly variable, but there has to be an average or at least some indication of how much gold they're earning.
if you want to talk in general, they are earning as much as everyone else, because yea RANDOM IS RANDOM, how surprising....
So much knowledge of statistics in this one. Tell you what we'll both play the lottery I get five tickets an hour and you get 1....that's cool with you right because random is random.
Of course people at 375 mf who can full clear A3 in 30 minutes will find better stuff then you because they are seeing sooo many more drops per hour then you. The ratio of crap to good doesn't change with mf but the sheer number of drops, including uniques increases.
Is anyone making a living of the RMAH through farming as blizz intended? I really doubt it. But I'm sure the army of botters out there are still making some amount of cash
as far as better loot droping, once you clear 300 mf with a 5 stack, legendarys and such become much more common than when at 100-200mf. i think the sweet spot was when i hit about 280ish mf.
its not uncommon to find a legenday per hour on avearge once at 300+ mf
