Mantle of Channeling and Aquila should provide damage reduction, alongside APD combined with Wyrdward in cube. That all plus LoN's 52% DR.
As for damage, it has potential for total of 85% Lightning damage (Andariel, Thundergods, amulet and bracers), and since it's dual wield, it can get in the 550+% cdmg.
Most of damage would come from Fulminator passive, which would behave similarly to monk gen build, zapping madly in high density, and Schaefer's is there just to add a bit more juice.
Now all this is under assumption that item passive (fulminator and schaefers) actualy gets boosted by LoN and elemental damage increase, in which I am not sure.
But it looks tempting (to me, at least).
I will give it a go once I get all gear, but I was interested in hearing what you might have to say?
I've tried a similar build before and here are a few problems I encountered:
1. Sustain. WW with wastes survive because of the attack speed increase from BK swords/Istvan's Swords plus Blood Funnel rune for LoH. You will find that you will easily die even in T10 because you do not have any means of recovering life. You can add some Life on Hit stats to survive T10, and its a fun build when you can survive, but this will be the primary issue once you go even 1 torment higher.
2. Attack speed. You'll have less attack speed compared to Wastes set because you cannot use the set swords which increase your attack speed by 30%.
3. Damage. I thought that 1300% damage increase from LoN would make the lightning damage from Odyn's son/Fulminator/Sky Splitter/Thunderfury/Schafer's Hammer significant, but I learned it the hard way. The base damage increase from the set is simply not enough.
If you can get it to work, a fun build, non-the-less.

Hey everyone,
Seeing how most of LoN builds focus on Hack and Thorns damage, I was thinking about something like this:

I mean you harm.
I like it. What about ice climbers for the boots?
Boots are only optional piece of equipment, so it was either Climbers, or Irontoes or Illusory.
CLimbers might be even better solution, to mitigate some cold damage and negate immobilize during WotB downtime.
I mean you harm.
Looks pretty funny. Maybe I get all this ancient pieces...
