So after looking through the class skills (specifically passives), I came across something interesting and unique about the Barbarian that none of the other classes can even come close to. As most of us know, our characters will eventually have 3 passive skills. What I came across, and what I fear is going to make the Barbarian's damage much higher than that of any other class, is a combination of these 3 passive skills:
Weak Spot - Increases critical strike damage by 100%
Ruthless - Increases critical strike chance by 5% and increases critical strike damage by 50%.
Frenzied Attacks - When wielding two weapons, the character has 20% increased critical strike chance and 30% increased critical strike damage.
If we add this all up we see that the barbarian (while wielding 2 weapons) has a base 25% critical strike chance, and an extra 180% damage on critical strikes without any bonus from stats and/or items!.
I plan on playing a Wizard to begin with, but if I start a second character it will be a Barbarian with this setup for sure. What are your thoughts on this?
Edit: Apparently the duplicate of this post was deleted from the general boards. My purpose of posting it there was to avoid people (mainly those who plan on rolling Barbarians) being one sided in their discussion of the topic. Now that the topic only exists here, I ask that you try not to be biased in your response. Thanks!
