Most Barbarian skills require Fury to cast. Fury is a mana-like bulb that fills up when the Barbarian hits enemies, then drains quickly away when he stops hitting. This means that a Barbarian is unable to use his more powerful abilities at the start of a fight, and must charge up his Fury before he can begin to unleash his more devastating attacks.Yes, there are a couple skills that give the barbarian a minor fury boost, but its insufficient to empower him through a good pvp fight... So this raises a couple questions...
- Will there be Rage/Fury potions? We dont want to see barbarians reliant on this shit...
-Will it work like WoW's rage system (WoW's pvp is much slower paced than diablos, I personally dont see how rage generation would work like this and give the barbarian enough time to get pissed off, but its still an option...)
-Will there be a special "PvP" mode/system implemented on PvP enabled servers?
I really have no idea how this system is going to work out, but im sure blizzard has all of this under control...
I want to hear what you guys have to say, I'm kinda stomped, so lets hear some ideas... ;]

Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able, and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God. -Epicurus-Athiests- Winning since 33 A.D
Nobody knows enough about the game to even begin to think about this stuff. The only people thinking about this is blizzard, im sure it will all work out, and if it doesnt a quick patch would help balance things out.
I hope theres a more organized focus on PVP this time tho it was a huge part of the game

I completely agree on both arguments. Also I really hope the have some sort of more complex PvP, maybe one that can get you rewards for winning.

Dream as if you'll live forever, and live as if you'll die today. "James Dean"
Sounds like it's similar to Rage for Warriors in WOW.
You start with zero but the more you attack the higher it gets (up to a value of 100) Using skills that require Rage generate Rage as well, though not quite as much as they use in some cases and in others its more. Also there are various "shouts" and "cries" that generate a fixed amount of Rage. Also almost any time a monster hits the Warrior for a successful attack he generates a portion of Rage, roughly proportional to the amount of damage done by the monster's attack. Big hits generate more Rage.
Assuming this trend is present in D3 as well then the barbarian could perform a "shout" to generate some Fury in order to perform his high level attacks.

-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.

Im pretty sure there will be a way of building up rage before a fight otherwise the sorc could just tele away and drop its attacks where the barb is
Give the developers some time to complete the game first.
It's really FAR FAR too early to worry about PvP they haven't even STARTED working on it.
The more damage the barbarian deals the more rage he receives he then uses that to use attacks such as whirlwind or whatever
Pretty shitty system if you ask me, but hey its blizzard they always make everything excetional (Even if its a bad idea)
