Hm, I see, I'll look for a good shield and a better weapon. I use the same talents but dual wielding. But I still don't know why my DPS is that low, I got 2020 STR, 50,5% chance to crit and 335% critical damage. speed is at 1,38 while dual wielding. Using Mace and Spear. Probably mainly bcause of Weapon DPS I think? Weapons with 900+ DPs with a socket are going really expensive on AH and I got only 14kk atm.

About the belt, it's not Life Leech, its Increased +7%life, I forgot to mention the skill, it's Increased Cleave Damage by 11%. Wish it was Frenzy =/. I have a IK chest on bid with 185 VIT and 67 STR only, and no socket, Still thinking if it's worth using for the bonus, what do you think?

Wow nice man, gratz! I tried a shield with 7.5 crit, some vit and no str at all. my dps droped to 42k. Maybe with a shield with 100+ str and more critical will take me to near 50k. All I would need then is a better weapon, maybe near 900 dps with a socket I can reach 50k mark. I'll post a pic of my gear later so you can tell me what I should change, if you could please

Holy shit. Im jealously frustrated right now. Man I'd like to have the time to get that progress/gear aswell :/

I'll try to go S e B now, maybe I can survive more time on act 3, as dual wield I die too fast =/ Even with 1k All res, maybe its the low Armor, I got 6500 buffed with priest and shout. Not using the 20% dmg reduc on magic talent tho. Do you use it? Do you think it's worth using Helm of command with some crit on it for the 8% block?

I found the DW ww barbs grossly exaggerate their capability. Congrats on a very impressive s/b barb. I hope to equal those stats some day.

I loveeee the sword and board tank spec, I normally run with the standard leap frenzy WotB revenge ignore pain/ground stomp and warcry. I'd like to switch out leap for charge but I'm going to wait until I get some more dps because I cant charge through walls from wallers :P. In any case, to all these geared barbs out there what pieces should one look for first to build this kind of gear? I usually run about 1-2mil gold on any given day but I'm waiting until I sell this amazing 70 AR ring I got. My stats thusfar are...46k health 7.5k armor 900-1000 AR 16k dps with 20%crit chance 183% crit damage with Ruthless, Berserker Rage and Weapon Master. (Weapon is a mace.)

unless your going for world record kills / clears etc - there is no point running 90k dps 700 res 50khp if you take on a 20+ pack of heavy hitting mobs u will get squashed - 70k dps 50khp 1k res - im a big fan of in that regard

what im finding an issue now is the the upgrades for my barb are starting to dry up and the next upgrade is in the 30+ mil mark now - and farming is starting to get boring , maybe its because im by myself and all my friends are playing wow again

i suggested this a while back but what are the chance of getting 3-4 s+b barbs in top end gear and doing clears a2 - a3 - a4 on video / streams - it would be pretty awesome to see

About your Off hand, probably only a weapon with 950+ dps + Crit damage and a free slot + some STR will increase your dps over your shield.

I'm still looking for a good shield and a good weapon, but my gold is limited right now, and I'm not spending real money so soon on this game :P.
I just reached 60k dps as dua wield now, I"m with 2100 STR, 53% crit and 330% crit damage, dunno why it's that low, maybe it's the speed or just the weapon DPS, they are 834 dps and 847 dps. I really need a better weapon

These are my stats. I started adding magic find to my gear recently. Im almost at 100 with my enchantress (not using a MF weapon on her). I love sword and board barb because its mindless farming. Survivability is very high and dps is good enough to kill almost all elites with ease. I also have a bit of LoH and a nice health pool to help.
Edit: With weapon mastery in place of berserker rage my dps is 53k

Hard to go back to S&B after getting used to DW though.

I dont think its that much a difference as long as you play ww/tornado. Unless you lost tons of LoH on the offhand and you were depending on it.

110 str
104 vit
91% crit dmg
775 LoH
2.3 Life steal
Socket with 100% crit dmg gem

I lose a ton of stuff by switching to shield, still...im quite sure the WW/sprint build will get hit with a nerf in patch 1.0.4, i guess ill play around with some shield builds then

I would love to see offhands like that flood the market.

What exactly constitutes a "full act 3 clear"? I have 100k+dps and I can't even do keep 1 and 3, siegebreaker,cydea,and azmodan in under 40ish minutes. I have previously done this with 120k+ (before I subbed out some gear for MF) dps and still not come close to a 30 minute clear. Are you not picking up any loot during the runs or something?
