Maybe I am confused, but isn't the primary argument for using 2 1h xbows that you can get crit damage much higher? But in the spreadsheet it seems that you only give the hxbows 20% more crit damage (higher gems). The attack speed from items also confuses me as it doesn't seem to make sense that a bit 2h xbow would fire at the same speed as the hxbows.
Attack speed from items is the bonus attack speed provided from the gear he wears, ie. amulets, rings, gloves, etc. This doesn't change regardless of whether he uses a bow or crossbow or 1hxbow. If you look at the attack speed in the weapons field, you will notice that the 1hxbows fire much faster.
In regards to the crit damage, if looking at the weapons he modeled alone, the 1hxbows have a 70% crit damage edge. However, when you use a xbow, you get 50% crit damage from archery, so the edge falls to 20%. 1hxbows get 10% crit from archery instead of the 50% crit damage, but much of this is mitigated by by a quiver, since the best quiver can give you +8.5% crit chance. In his spreadsheet the quiver he has gives him 8% crit chance.
1H Xbows are more then viable. I am dual wielding them and I can honestly say I can faceroll through almost any mob.
The keys are A) Keeping top DPS Xbows. This means using the AH alot but, it's well worth the cash. And if you shop around you can find them at reasonable prices. ALWAYS go for Dex/Hate regen/Gem slots. C) Find the right build. And as always. DPS>ALL else
As for kiting, I dont have much problem with that after playing a Hunter in WoW for 7 years. Know when to move, and when to stand and fire.

I think the discussion in this thread deals more with whats optimal, as opposed to whats viable.
Yes. But people keep derailing form the topic and continue to impose their own personal preference. We still haven’t come to a conclusion of which is more optimal.
