Rolled with a friend and we started off as Wizard and WD combo. Now as i am seeing more people I am wondering if we want to push higher GR would it be better if i switch to Monk and we have Wiz/Monk combo? or can WD and wizard push the higher GR? when I mean higher GR we were planning on aiming for something like 90s if possible.

To answer your question: Play the class you like. Pushing with a non-standard class combination can be a lot of fun. You can use Diablorank's filtering to see your overall ranking. For example, in S5 we obviously weren't happy about pushing with wizard, so we went for Crusader+Barb in 2 player. We weren't really placed high on the leaderboards (don't even remember the rank), but the 5th non-wizard team worldwide (and it did not take hundreds of keys and throwing away rifts because of bad rift guardian RNG).
We have absolutely no clue yet about the final season meta even in 4 player, and 2 player is always a bit different and has close to no competition, so even with a sub-par team you can break into the top 100 (or even higher).

Wiz WD can definitely push 90+.
