After trying out the new TR set I quickly noticed that the stacking of the damage buff is kind of awkward. It is not possible to keep them up, just to refresh up to 4 and reapply when they fade.
2 Questions:
1 Is it considered best to just get 4 stacks back up ASAP when they drop (which means casting a hydra eventhough it's already up). Or would is be better to refresh when the time is about to run out?
2 Depending on the party set-up I sometimes have so many buffs that the TR stacks are not shown. Is there a way to fix this?
PS: It's an interesting set which gives a different playstyle but keeping the stacks up, with the current mechanics, makes me feel like healers in WoW. I spend more time looking at the little box with the stack count than I do at the rest of the game.
I find it quite hard too to keep track in group play, same goes for convention of the element. Convention gives you a visual orbs that flosats around you at least but i often find myself tanking the mobs with the new buff to wizard with tal's 4 piece bonus so the visual doesn't matter anymore =(
My best solution so far is to cycle my elements with 3 spamable spell and 1 cooldown spell (blackhole). Since the blackhole can be casted every 9 sec (with my cdr) once it is ready its mean i dont have anymore tal rasha bonus so i recast it, teleport with calamity, frozen spike, then i spam meteor.
I think its challenging the way you have to recast to get your element back. I think they did it so you couldn't cast skills, then get rid of them quickly and use only 1 element after you achieved 4 stack. Overall i find it quite fun to start to time my 4 stack with convention of the element to get the maximum of my meteor showers. The only downside as i said is the group play. The monk uses half of the buff bar if he's running inna's set. Blizzard should allow to see more buff or find a better way to show the new tal rasha buff.

I'm currently playing the Meteor focused build:
http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/wizard#UlfSiP!RgZh!YZZZcZ
With starpact meteor and eletrocute (surge of power). I tend to start my fights like this:
Electrocute
Blizzard
Hydra
Meteor
I''m also running Convention of the Elements (hooray for 1 billion dmg crits). But the buff rotaton doesn't change my spell rotation in anyway.
it would be nice if u could align your 4 elemental attacks with the rotation on convention of the elements
I am finding the play style quite fun. But I am using tals hybrid with Dessie's and I found it to be a much smoother and more powerful experience.
I know that Hydra updates on the go, not sure about blizzard though. Starpact is cast on high AP anyway.
