You could charge $20 for each new class. The revenues can go towards developing additional classes. You can sell special cards at Wal-Mart and other retailers specifically pertaining to new classes. This would dramatically increase the replay value of the game as people spend time leveling and gearing new classes. Also you can have entire seasons related to the new class.
Expansions still have their place to introduce new storyline and environment content.
New characters are an important part of Diablo and if you pay for the game + expansions you shouldn't be charged for more fun/diferent ways to enjoy the game.
More expansions = More characters = More money to blizzard? yes, i'm ok with that, just because a new expansion would add a ton of new content, areas, things to explore.
Microtransactions should only be cosmetical/storage/slots. Things that in some way improve your game enjoyment if you have them (eyecandy wings, i'm gonna pay for them) but don't leave you behind if you don't.
Microtransactions could also help the game have a more frequent update. Right now everyone is waiting for another bid expansion. A new set of quests or levels or whatever could be added for a much smaller price instead of waiting for enough to be put together to be called and expansion.
Again I will refer to Mass Effect 3 and all of the dlc they offered for it. The dlc really improved the game and you could pick and choose what you wanted or didnt want. I know they made more $$$$ doing it that way cuz the price added up to more than an expansion would cost but it came spread out in increments.
Several games do this and its about time Blizzard got up to date. Seriously they have been so far behind everyone else they were still running the 20+ year old mpq files. Thats an obvious example of how they havent even tried to keep up with technology or how the gaming industry is running these days. They have been over the top resistant to change.
Microtransactions should be purely cosmetic. Something you buy if you want. Not something you need. Nothing else. Not boosts and not storage spaces and crap like that.
However the slow content releases we have now could be better. I would honestly preffer a monthly fee on diablo. To get more stuff faster and more frequent
Microtransactions should ONLY be cosmetics and quality of life changes. Not bonus xp, bonus mf, bonus goblins or whatever.
You could buy more stash space, more character slots, higher bloodshard cap (should be fixed for free though), new transmogs, new wings, follower transmog(?). These things are fine. It will really help the game. All these changes are nice. Most of them dont matter to to me, but I bet they do to others. It will make the game (blizz) earn more money, and they can put more people on it. This - in return - will give more and better content (quicker and larger patches). That what im hoping for, at least.
New Classes!

Just my two cents....thoughts?
Nope.

Just my opinion.

If I could pay money to turn my female barbarian into a smoking hot chick instead of that fugly butch model currently in game, I would.
i would pay if they let me customize my characters... all the female toons that i have are either too short, too fat, too flat, or too brown.
