From what I've read multiple times, the investor call was to take place on the 5th of May. Now it seems to have been changed to the 9th. Anyone know why?
Bashiok always misleads people in many ways. When we heard "the game is technically complete" we were all freaking out as if beta was going to be announced before the conference call and such.
Now he said that we'll see newly implemented systems in Diablo 3 before the beta.... which is strange because we were expecting the beta to be around the corner...
Anyways, I wouldn't worry terribly too much about what Bashiok said.
The fifth was never given by activision or blizzard. It was an assumed date because they have always held the conference on a particular day. However, this call will not be for whatever reason.

The game is technically complete though, it has been since last blizzcon. You could effectively play through the entire game, that is not without glitches, or bad mechanics, or bosses standing still and taking 1 hit to kill. So yeah technically it was complete then and still is.x We've just been waiting for them to flesh out the game. Hopefully May 9th comes with some relief but It is hard to say now. They haven't really released any new info besides that update today on the front page about the 25 fps for D2 and more for D3. They said they had a few more to show us and in 3 weeks can they show us them all idk it is tough to say but I am hoping.

Not even Death will save you from Diablo Bunny's Cuteness!

So Blizzard should change the plans based on the expectations (based off assumptions) of the community? Additionally, as previously said, just because they have some system they want to announce before beta -STARTS- it's not really any reason to worry that beta is "delayed". It's not like announcing systems takes a long time to do when they just decide to do it..
Also people seem to mix up the possibility of a May 9th beta -announcement- with the actual start of the beta. They might just say: "Yeah this and that is what we have planned to test in the beta and it'll start soon/in a week/in a month/February 26th 2013 7:36pm".
