I don't see a single reason to get Vista right now. I will either stick to XP or get Ubuntu/SUSE or some other Linux system. Even if Microsoft releases a Service Pack that will correct Vista's problems, I will only torrent it.
I'll probably stay on XP. There is DX10 for XP, anyway. Who needs Vista?
I've heard a number of mixed things about it already. And as I'm not that computer savvy anyway, I doubt I'll feel the need to really purchase it.
I think a lot of people feel like XP is still a great operating system for PC owners. I mean, for me, I had to endure a couple of years of Windows ME (possibly the worst system ever) before I finally got XP.
And the price on Vista, I don't understand how it could cost so much.
Supposedly it's just crammed full of different problems and bugs, compatibility issues and so forth. So it's a good thing that i'm not in need of a new operating system as of yet. If Vista has had its problems fixed when I do need it though, I'll buy it.
PlugY for Diablo II allows you to reset skills and stats, transfer items between characters in singleplayer, obtain all ladder runewords and do all Uberquests while offline. It is the only way to do all of the above. Please use it.

Yeah. Isn't that how most operating systems start out though. I thought you always wanted to wait for it to be out for awhile until a lot of the major bugs have been worked out.

i dont think any Windows have been released without bugs. I wont touch Vista for a year or two at least. Atm it has serious ram usage issues and its almost impossible to play. Especially the ones that require much ram themselves.
Chaos, Panic, Disastor, my work here is done.
Make it idiot-proof and somone will make a better idiot.
